Acuralink and iPhone 4
#2
Assuming you mean using the iPhone to make the data connection to the Acura dealer, no. Acuralink requires a phone that supports bluetooth dial up networking, which unfortunately, the iPhone does not. It does support a different method (personal area networking), but this doesn't help with that system.

I seriously doubt it. The system used (bluetooth DUN) is the standard that pretty much every single phone out there (other than the iPhone) supports. It would be a pretty major rewrite to the HFL code to do so, and I don't know of any systems that allow for both DUN and PAN connectivity..it's generally one or the other. So adding support for PAN would likely cut off support for every other phone out there. Given the sheer number of iPhone users, maybe this isn't such a bad approach, but I don't see it happening..
I was very surprised to see Apple decided to use the bluetooth PAN method instead. While I am actually glad that they did (as it is really a better implementation) it does limit the usefulness of tethering to the phone to that of an actual full computer OS (unofficial third-party apps/hacks excluded).
