2012 TSX's 6MT - No Tech Package?
Any reason why the 6MT version does not have the Tech Package option?
I just purchased a Special Edition and it has everything, but the navi and better audio system. Love the car, but very pissed off, at not being able to have everything the automatic can have.

it's a car-drive it
I was very pleased when I first heard acura was bringing back the milano red with the 6MT. Then I heard there would not be any tech with it. My original plans to trade in my 06 tsx changed when I found this out. I am hoping they have the tech back with the 2013 Milano red 6MT tsx se

in order to get the MT with the 2012 you have to get the special edition. I heard that the tsx will end with the 2013 model. Will just have to wait. My good friend is a acura sales manager so he will keep me informed when he gets any info

well i love the tsx, and especially my car. Just wish i had the full package, but my android phone via bluetooth will have to suffice.
do they make any aftermarket navigations, that would fit in our console and work with existing hardware?
just curious.

I've said this in a few of the other SE threads: this is a really weird move by Acura IMO and they should have offered the Tech in the SE (and even if they wanted to offer only one version and just did the Tech only, I still think that would have been a better move).
I wonder if Acura is going to start offering the Navi as a completely separate option down the road? The reason why I say this is because I have participated in their owner surveys, and they had a lot of questions about Navi being a stand alone option.

I just had this discussion with my dealer the other day. If you want a manual transmission, you're stuck with the 4 cylinder engine and no tech package available. If you want navigation, you have to go with the automatic transmission. NO way around it.
So I bought a used 2009 6 speed manual with tech package instead

Wow what an old thread.
If i had a choice I would choose the non tech all day over the tech package. I do want that clunky UI to control HVAC and the radio. GPS is always done on the phone. Turn your damn head and look at your surroundings the way its been done for 100+ years.
There are many things that are "special" about the SE - All black interior minus minor accents. Bumpers are different as well as the side skirts. Different seats. Lets be honest, the tech version really isnt that techy anyway. If your opinion on special is a backup camera you bought the wrong car.
