Your opinions on TSX..

Okay my parents are willing to let me get either a TSX or a new 2012 Civic. I told them I really do not want a 2012 Civic because it looks REALLY ugly. So I have a few questions. I was looking at Carmax and they have two cars available. My local Acura dealer only has one used TSX for sale.

Carmax:

1) 2009 TSX with 35K miles for $22,147

2) 2010 TSX with 36K miles for $25,147

Local Acura dealer:

2009 TSX with 25,885 miles for $25,877

1) My parents are afraid of getting the used TSX because they are afraid of it breaking down and having to pay out more money to fix it. When they could get a brand new car with warranty. So are there any "major" problems that I should know about 2009/2010 TSXs?

2) Out of the three car, which one is the best deal?

3) What color is the carmax car?

Sorry for these rookie type of questions. I am still learning about cars and etc. Just doing a lot of research before I get the car. Thanks again!

Will post more questions if I have any.

You really should have no problems with a CPO TSX. They're built pretty well. Those TSXs are either Grigio or PMM

you can probably finance a new 2011 base with 0 miles from the dealer for like $26-27K, max 28K. no idea why you would pay nearly $26K for an older model with 36K miles....

I paid 26,788 + TTL NEW with 0 miles for a 2011 base. All 3 are shitty deals. Go new for that price

You shouldnt have any problems at all. Acura is Honda. And this tsx is pretty much an accord. And definitely get a TSX over the civic. And get a tsx with the tech package if possible. And my tsx is also my first car, and its awesome. Dont even look for a civic.

The Carmax vehicles are overpriced. Go new or go home. Better yet, wait for the ILX which should be priced lower and have all/most of the nice-ities that the TSX has. Good Luck!

as others wrote-those prices seem high-
suggestion: get prices on either a leftover '11 or a '12 tsx. The warranty on the new acura is 4yrs/50K miles and the honda is 3yrs/36K miles.

Completely agree. Never buy from CarMax either. The mark the $hit up out of their cars.. Not worth it...

I agree, wait a little bit (a few months) and see what the pricing is on the ILX. Probably well under $30K and you (well your parents) will have a new car. I think the ILX will be on dealers lots in Apr. So more detailed info should be coming soon.

considering that the ILX will not replace the TSX, wait for the pricing of the ILX. I'd say MSRP would go for ~25k

I would def go with tsx. I hate the new civics, but the accords r really nice. The predicted reliability for Acura is actualy better than the accord.....(consumer reliability). And def drive both first.

Also that price is terrible. Where r u from? For the same price is had the choice of 2009 tech tsx with 10,000 miles....PA/NJ
