Windshield Washer freeze out.

Windshield Washer freeze out.
Has any one else had this, it happens in the winter to me a few time a year. This time while in the mountains on a ski trip, I go to use my washer fluid and it will not come out.
I wait a while and it works (I think the engine warms it up the first time was after to minutes after start up).
Here is the part that annoying, I only use non diluted washed fluids and most washer fluid is good to -20f and it was only 31f when this happens.

Maybe there's ice in the nozzles from melting and refreezing snow.
Happy 2013 all.

You have to read the bottle. Even though it is blue, it doesn't mean it's good for freezing temps.
Personally I buy rain-x/prestone in the summer for the anti-bugjuice properties and the cheapest winter blend in the winter.

That happened to me once about two years ago. At the time I had never added any washer fluid myself, so it must have been whatever the dealer put in there. I thought the nozzels were iced over at first but, nope, when I pulled the cap off the washer fluid tank there were icy chunks of fluid stuck to the stick! Warming up the car by driving around for a little while didn't help in the very cold temps. I just filled it up with new winter fluid and then it worked for me. Ever since that happened I always refill the washer fluid myself so I know what is going in there and it has never frozen again...can't trust that the dealer uses anything more than colored water.

I had this in my Civic once and I needed it because slushy snow kept flying into my windshield and it got dirty. Mix this with the sun glaring and it was a disaster. I stopped at 5 gas stations on my way to and from campus just to wipe the window it was so bad. I ran my car for a while and it got better but I think most of my luck was it got a tiny bit warmer. I've started putting winter formula in early from now on.
