Will HID melt lexan?

I have lexan fog lights, with yellow laminx.. I wanted to 35w HID's, but kinda afraid of it melting. Anyone have HID's with lexan lenses?? Will they melt? Any input would be awesome. You can even tell me I'm stupid Thanks

I used lexan with halogen in my fogs and it DID MELT or bubble the lexan. Not sure how much temperature difference there is between the halogen or HID supposedly HID is less hot? you could try it and see. Why not go with LED bulbs in the fogs to run them at much less temperature?

Yeah. I have leds already, I think I'm just going to keep them🤔. I think I'm going to get HID reverse lights, for the jerk offs at the drive through with high beams on 😠.

+1 on the LEDs. I am running lamin-x yellow film on my fogs. 1st set melted/bubbled after 2+ years with halogen, I've been running LEDs with my new set of lamin-x for a year now, they run much cooler.
