white led DRL with NO error message!

so my friends at ijdmtoy hooked me up with a white led drl with no error message. as all of you know, when you put in a led for DRL, you get the DRL error. so my friend added some sort of resistor then bam. no more errors! here are some pics and vids showing that theres no error. no night time pics yet, but im sure all of you know how it looks at night:tongue:

the resistor on passenger side:

Do you have a 'Plug N Play' resistor similar to this?

http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/D...01806-1-3.html

ed_423 06-15-2010 11:58 PM

lol umm..im not too sure. its pretty much these:
leds:
http://store.ijdmtoy.com/9006-HB4-LE...9006_sku46.htm
+
resistors:
http://store.ijdmtoy.com/50W-Load-Re...d_resistor.htm
= around 54 bucks worth

when i arrived he had it all ready, pretty much just plugged it in and it worked lol

Supreme 06-16-2010 12:08 AM

That isn't really considered 'plug n play' but i'm glad it's working for you

ed_423 06-16-2010 12:15 AM

haha well...if you get it from me it would be a plug and play:thumbsup: LOL

pbhak002 06-16-2010 01:59 AM

can wait to see it during the night!

DerwoodEE 06-16-2010 07:42 AM

Looks real good.

Tishkevich 06-16-2010 07:51 AM

looks good! :) too scared to show your face!? :-P

the other guy had to do the resistor too, but its cool to see the actual resister you installed.

hondu 06-16-2010 09:10 AM

That does look good. How easy is it to change? I haven't even looked into what it takes to changes the DRL's (in the OM I imagine).

I'm like you, I've had mine since March 31, 2010 and have 4000 miles. I usually drive 450 miles each week and around 22,000 miles/year.

rastaracer 06-17-2010 04:43 PM

i had got my led drl's from ijdmtoy and ended up ordering resistors from them too, but i didnt like the idea of having to splice wires, i thought it was gonna be a plug & play deal so i returned all it back to them and ended up getting some jdm yellow drl's for now.
