What does kbb trade in value say for "average" condition? Look at that number and the "private party" value and figure a private sale in between. Also look at edmunds (same average and trade in settings)

I know that everyone here believes their car is in "outstanding" or "clean" condition but the reality is that you're not going to get more than "average trade in" from a dealer - if you're lucky.

Go to a CARMAX in your area and see what they'll give you.

Just for reference, two months ago I bought my 10 TSX V6 CBP very good-exc condition, 30k miles, still has warranty +1 xtra year for being CPO. Paid $20k

I highly suggest you take it to carmax (they love Hondas/acuras) I used to work there, you'll be amazed how much the offer you if they want your car (that is if it was well kept)

I sold my '10 TSX Tech V6 with 37k miles on it on 09/09/13 for $23,500. It was a one owner car and in absolutely perfect condition. Placed an ad on Craigslist and it sold within 3 days. The buyer was amazed at the flawless condition of my car. Couldn't believe it was a '10. If you take care of your cars like I do, they will typically sell rather quickly at the higher end of the pricing scale. Now, I'm the proud owner of a '12 TL Advance. Loved my TSX V6, but I must concede that the TL is definitely a notch or 2 better.

they dont offer much for trash, no dealer does. they would send your ody to straight to auction hence the $700 offer. cars they can sell at the dealership they offer fair prices. you did well by selling it yourself but dont expect a dealer to offer you nearly as much on a cash car as you could selling it privately.

For what it's worth, forcing people to wait 60 days before they can post something for sale is a missed opportunity for this forum to generate revenue. A popular boat forum I belong to charges $15/year to post boats for sale or even WTB solicitations. I paid that in a heartbeat.

Acurazine could blend the two methodologies where new members have two options:
1) Wait 60 days to post a car for sale free of charge
2) Pay $15 bucks top post a car for sale immediately
