more or less the products are the same.
trial by error.
this is why you see different detailers use different products. they found one that works for them.

are you still gonna use the ONR?

^ its a clay bar.

its basically a piece of clay that you run over the paint with some kind of lubricant.
it will get out industrial fall out and other impurities embedded into the paint

Run your hand across the surface of your freshly cleaned car. A recently clayed car will be as smooth as glass. One that hasn't is not nearly as smooth.

Even most brand new cars have "industrial fall out and other impurities" (great description, justnspace!). I've heard this is especially true for cars that have been transported via rail.

I wasn't a believer until I actually clayed my car. Needless to say, it was well worth my time.

ill do that. i am just a little nervous about this. i've never cleaned my car before so i don't know how to do it.

1. Wash Car (using ONR).
2. Dry Car.
3. Clay Car (if needed).
4. Wax car.

is this the correct procedure?

dont be scared of the car.
you wont hurt it.
you'll just end up with a shiny car.

1. wash.
2. dry
3. using a lubricant(quick detailer) clay car. Go to youtube to watch how to clay.
4. wax

this is a simple wash. no paint correction.

like i told you in the beginning, there is no right or wrong answer. I found that claying the car right after a wash before the dry saves me A LOT of time.

1.wash
2. while car is still wet, clay.
3. rinse
4. dry

Just my opinion but i use The NXT products for wax. Just basic home use. Nothing to crazy, but the order is pretty much right on. Definitely look at the wash and wax session.

I got a few waxes I use on my cars and clients. Souveran is great on dark colors will make the car look real wet. It's pricey at 95 a jar. Auto Glym is also nice if you can find it for 20 dollars at Wal-mart. Collinite 845 is one of those hidden gem, its very durable while giving the car a real nice shine. Like Justnspace said trail and error until you find what works best for you.

1. Pre-rinse car, rinse off mud and dirt
2. Wash car (I recommend ICE car wash in warm water in 5 gallon bucket using a Wool Mitt... NO sponges!!!!)
3. Wash wheels with Eagle One A2Z tire and wheel cleaner
4. Rinse car with filtered/de-ionized water
5. Dry Car using Real Lamb skin (3'x3') shammy Pre-moisten with hot water, A silicone California Water T-bar help a lot too
6. Clay Car (if needed only - 1 per six month max)
7. Wax car with Mother's dry wax. Rub Damp cloth in wax can and wax car.
8. I like to use the Eagle One Tire "GEL" or Amor All extreme Tire shine

P.S. If you don't use filtered or de-ionize water you may want to use classic rain-x on all exterior windows to prevent water spots. Do not put on interior windows or exterior mirrors.

I sue any of the Meg's cash wash products I liek them all and for wax on my Silver car's I use Megs #21 on the gf's dark car I use Blackfure WetD Diamond becuase it leaves no swirls or any marks, at 6 months and 3 wax jobs the paint on her dark gray RDX looks like day one. I do feel the Meg's #21 is a bit more durable than the Blackfire. I wax both cars about every 3 months and they still bead water well and appear like they have some wax on them still at that point.
