Mine lights up when the ecu shuts my engine off if I redline. I think it shut me off around 7400 rpm( I think)

I could be wrong, but isn't that the security light that blinks after you lock the car?

Yes, confirmed that it is the security light. Blinks red after you lock the car.

when i hit redline, i can hear the engine cut off. but get no visual cues.
these newer cars must have cool new stuff in them!!

it wont hurt if you hit redline, test it out again and report back!!

I try not to do it lol. I did it on my bros 06 tsx and nothing lit up. Mine, something def lights up. Ill report next time it happens.

Man... When I had my ap1, I was close to redline at damn near every shift.
That car is so fun between 6500-9000rpm

if i dont watch my tach when accelerating briskly, I'll forget to shift and bounce off the rev-limiter.
trying to wring out the most power till red line

but again, it will be a brief engine cut, switch gears and then KEEP GOING!!! lol

I shift down to 1st on the freeway for more power. Makes it sound like I am going so fast.

I know its red text.
butt, the 6mt's can over-rev by mis-shifting. 4-2nd is a common one.

How do you miss? I never miss.

When racecar mode I do either of these 2 things:

1: Hold it too long and hit red line so engine cuts off

or

2: Don't rev match correctly and lose a lot of power


ehhhh I guess there is a 3rd: let off clutch too early before I get it all the way in gear ( but this rarely happens

I have never missed the gear I am trying to get it in, or forget which gear I am.

Could have sworn something lit up. oh well..

I'm not sure if it's the security light anymore. there's another light below the CD player that's the security light.

Coming from a 5 speed manual, I kept forgetting about the sixth gear when I first got the TL.

One time, I was double clutching to rev match, and I was going from 5 to 4.
I put it into 2nd by mistake.
as I was letting go of the clutch I could feel the car wasnt right.
I quickly pressed in the clutch.
I have no damage, but my friend wasnt so lucky.
he had to rebuild his heads because of a misshift.
