Just washing and waxing my car today.. noticed a few small paint chips in the hood - haven't hit any rocks or noticed anything. Same commute as my old car... which I've had for 2 years, not a single scratch or chip

Anyone else had an issue or notice it? Not sure if I should hit up the dealer.

 

An assumption could be from flying rocks from trucks/other vehicles? I try to hide from trucks as I'm afraid of that happening :\

Also, on this topic, for those who have a clear bra, is it noticable (shiney/thicker etc?) and is it 'effective'?

 

Well yeah, from rocks I presume, but I've been babying the car. I dunno, I was just surprised to see them up close, you can feel it. Just have never seen that on any of my other cars...

just a headsup, ive driven it 20k miles and my front bumper looks like i take it off-roading on weekends. I only put highway miles on this car. I would suggest you do it now or never, once its too banged up there is no point =/

i would do just bumper, my hoods ok, its up to you though and how much you wanna spend, its not bad, its slightly noticeable, but still hard to see unless you look for it
