TSX vs IS250, i know i know

this has been brought up numerous times, but the 2g TSX been out over a year now, do you still prefer your TSX over the rwd IS250? if so, why? i'm looking for another car in the family and it is down to these two.

I was in your shoes when before choosing the TSX. It basically came down the three choices. TSX. IS. G. With the options I wanted for the G was too much on what I wanted to spend so it came between the IS and TSX. Looking back, I am happy with my choice in picking the TSX *even though those air conditioned seats and RWD layout would've been niced. At UCF, everyone seems to be driving an IS and sometimes it feels good to be more unique with having a TSX. Only 2G TSX in my apartment complex! While the Acura sometimes doesnt carry the "luxury" like Lexus. It came with everything I wanted and it was cheaper.

It all comes down to what you want. Im definitely not a IS hater since I drove my friend's and love the RWD layout.

cost shouldn't be an issue anymore as nowadays the G and IS along with TSX are been discounted heavily. i can get a G37S sedan non-navi for 33k, an IS250 with x pkg for 30k and so on.

I test drove an IS and felt the interior was pretty cramped compared to the TSX

this was close to a year ago, when those heavy discounts were almost non existent. but yeah the IS rear interior is really cramped compared to the TSX.

Before children we had an IS300; it was my favorite car of all time but it was way too small for the child seat and kids in and out. Sold it and was a SUV man until "Clunker Trade" came along. I measured the backseat clearance on the Explorer & went looking at the IS250, TSX, Mini& Jetta TI. The IS250 is still too small, to expensive (but REALLY cool). The Mini...too mini. The TI felt great, lots of torque, good exceleration but over priced and felt it would not be as reliable as the Acura. Believe it or not the backseat clearance in the TSX is the same as the Explorer and $10K less than the similar equiped IS250. Acura TSX got my vote and I have been loving it ever since. Only wish it was rear wheel drive!
