Those of you having issues with TSX - report to NHTSA as well as Acura Client Service
So I had a long chat with NHTSA regarding my brakes failing.
Their request to me was to have everybody who's rear brakes are going out to report it to www.safercar.gov and to Acura.
You might want to include any other safety related issues (audio isnt considered safety but you are welcome to add it I guess)
This goes for Accord people too (if you know anybody with the problem).

Failed, as in didn't work when you tried to stop, or just squeaky?
I agree that the TSX (and Honda in general is seems) needs to do something about the brakes, but I have not seen in incidence of them actually failing to stop the car.

Actually failed in the sense.. pads wear out prematurely.
On the rear wheel, both inside pads wear out faster, so much faster that the outside rear pad had 80% and the inside <10% when I changed them.
They will stop the car but I am not sure how that would work if the pads are completely worn down to metal backing and you don't know you don't have pads.
Currently my fronts are at 60%, the rears are brand new.
Remember 70% of your braking power is on your front wheels. Rears should not wear unevenly and definitely not before the fronts!
