Those with non-black interior and wear selvedge/raw denim....

What kind of product(s) do you use to keep your interior clean?

I searched and found a plethora, but nothing specific to jean stains. I made this thread with hope that there may be folks here who wear raw/selvedge denim, which are known to bleed quite a bit.

Thanks in advance, folks.

I just used my regular leather cleaner, nothing specially made for denim stains. The cleaner is Zymol Z507 leather cleaner.

The jean stains come back after a few days, though. I guess our seats just stain easily for jeans-wearers.

How do you like the cleaner? How long have you been using it? Thanks for the prompt reply, my friend.

I went to the dealership for an oil change and they had so many types of cleaners that the salesman didn't even know which to recommend.

I like it quite a bit. It's basically spray on and wipe off, and it leaves the seats with a new leather smell that I often get complimented on. I've used it since I acquired the vehicle nearly 3 years ago (my first leather interior car).

You could always ask for a sample to see if you like it, from the dealer I mean. Some cleaners leave kind of an oily, greasy residue and I'm not a fan of that. The Zymol cleaner leaves the leather "crisp", as if it's brand new. That's what I like.

Glad to be of help!

I second that, been using Zymol for over a year now. Leather still smells and looks new. I have parchment interiors btw and no jean stains

I Google'd the product and it got quite good reviews! Where did you buy it from? Local stores like Autozone? Or did you order it online?

I didn't know selvedge bled like that. I just washed mine, not realizing what they were when I bought them, but they still continue to get "worn out". Guess I got lucky.

Denim dye is going to be a tough one to get rid of. Have you tried contacting an upholstery repair shop?

I've only ordered it from Amazon.com, it's not a bad deal if you can get free shipping.

I have also seen it available at Target.

It's not that critical to the point where I would want to contact a repair shop. It's not that bad at all, but it is noticeable.

It depends on the brands and dyes too.

Thanks again, all! I will check the local Target tomorrow. If no luck, I will order it online.

I had a Demin strain on my parchment interior and i used Meguiars Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner & Conditioner and it did the trick. It has a oily-like residue but it dries out in a couple of days.

meguiers...LOTS of meguiers.
ive noticed that the more you clean/condition the seats the easier it is to remove stains. my seats always look shiny because of the amount of conditioner i use.

Makes perfect sense.

When you say shiny, is it all appearance? Or does the surface actually become slick as well?

Hey fellas,

I read that the Zymol sold at Target is of lower quality. With that said, I bought the stuff from zymol.com instead. I also bought the conditioner. No tax and free shipping in CONUS.

Thanks again!

it looks semi oily in bright light but to the touch its not greasy or anything just soft and not to slick. i have parchment interior so it reflects light more than black would so it has the shiny look.

How many times can you condition your leather with one bottle of the Zymol?
