Taupe Interior owners' opinions

How do you like the interiors? How have they held up? Easy or hard to clean? etc, etc?

I'm middling back and forth between BWP or Vortex Blue in the Sportwagon. I like the white but I am not a fan of light colored interiors, although the TSX taupe looks great. I am just scared of staining and such. So I'd like to hear some opinions of people who have Taupe interior in the TSX. TIA

Every interior, regardless of color, needs to be cleaned every 4 months or so.

Much of the problem with light colored interiors is color transfer. If you wear jeans or similar items that bleed (leather jackets for example) then you'll need to clean more often.

the Vortex Blue looks amazing, take it out in the sun and take a look, plus i prefer the ebony interior, just looks so much sleeker. taupe = old in my head

I have experienced both taupe and ebony. Taupe does indeed stain easily. I usually wear jeans and every few weeks I'd have to clean my seat to remove the blue color. Ebony makes the car feel bigger inside. After I traded in taupe for ebony, my family thought I got a bigger car.

If I had to pick one, I would now pick ebony over taupe. Just sleeker and nicer looking.

I have a 2010 TSX Grigio on Taupe. Yes it does stain alot easier which does require a lot more care but I find it to be more elegant compared to Ebony.

My wife and I discovered that sunscreen that rubs off our skin and onto the seats stains the leather.

Coming from cars with cloth seats, we never knew. We have black leather, so it does show. Taupe may hide stuff like that better. Looking into a leather cleaner / conditioner that might get the stains out.

I have taupe and don't find it any different than the light grey in my former '02 Maxima. I love the contrast/two tone look of the interior and in the deep south (GA) I couldn't imagine having a hot, black interior.

I had taupe in my last TL and loved it. So far it's been my favorite interior color of any I've owned. Would never own a car with black interior.

Leather Master works very well. Leatherique is another alternative but is more difficult to apply. Both are generally only available via mail order.

More importantly, sunscreen may damage some of the coating used on radio buttons and other coated plastics in the car, so be very careful.

+1 for vortex blue with ebony. I have ebony and love that it doesn't show dirt very well. I've heard many stories of people on here with taupe who have had jeans stain the seats blue.

ceb- leather confuses me. I feel like when I search for the things mentioned on here I get like 50 results from that brand. Cleaners, protectors, wipes, all sorts of options. I just want easy basic care, spending less than $50.

Here you go.

Black is much easier to care for than lighter colors because it hides many issues that show up as a dark stain on taupe. The dirt is still there but you can't see it.

There are lots of places that sell the kits - the one I picked was just the first in the search.

Had Taupe on my 08 TL, Ebony on my 12 TSX. Last 3 vehicles (including the TSX) since the Taupe TL have been black interiors. I much prefer the black. More sporty, hides wear better, doesn't show jeans marks and I feel it is just more classy looking.... The Taupe looks nice but I prefer the black.

I wound up getting BWP. Thanks for your opinions guys....for what I needed from this vehicle I wanted a light colored car again for my daily. Too bad there was no ebony interior like the SE, but that's Honda/Acura for you. The Taupe is very nice...just gonna be more upkeep.
