Looks awesome. The painted emblen looks really good also as it emphasizes the shadows and the darks. It's been said before but I'll say it again, the power plenum should have been painted to begin with. Death to chrome.

Thanks I agree. I think I want to do it to the rear emblem also, so they match. hmmm....and still need to get my windows tinted (hate the california laws regarding front windows) and my clear bra.

Take more pics if you do that. Painted emblems all around and tinted windows would definately make it look like a VIP car. Just remember that (I'm pretty certain) once you paint chrome there's no going back. You have to buy new ones if you don't like it.

the emblems are cheap, not too worried about that. If I do, I am just going to remove the Acura and TSX emblems, I think it looks better without them. And I'm excited, getting the sport bumper on Monday!

Where are your pics? I can't wait to see the Grigio version painted.
Great pics Kristy! Cant wait to see your sport bumper installed. Did you buy the part from your local dealer?

Regarding the clear bra on my white car, the line is not noticeable at all. A lot of times I forget its even there unless you look really up close or of course if theres dust/dirt on the edges. The venture shield cut matched the lines of the hood so it was a smooth curve and not straight across.

I want to clear bra the bumper and the grill, where did you get yours done? And yeah, I got the bumper from someone local-not the dealership, they wanted to charge me regular price. LOL

I'd keep the grill as is on my VBP 09. I don't think it looks good if I paint it blue.

I had mine done at Tint Pros here in Elk Grove (South of Sacramento). Owner/installer's name is Eric, he's really good and pays attention to detail. He also did the tinting of my car which he's known for. Rear limo tint on my white premium pearl is smokin'!

My tint will probably be getting done at Rocky Mountain in Sac (BF and his dad always go there, they did the tint on my last car). I will probably go dark in the back again, not sure what to do about the front, stupid laws. About how much was the clear bra if you dont mind me asking

Yeah, you can only do 70% in the front per CA law, but I don't see that much of a difference. For the clear bra it was about $800sh which included the front of the hood area, part fenders, headlights, foglights, the whole grill area, front bumper, side mirrors, and trunk area. It was well worth the investment as my last car had dozens of rock chip marks. If only I knew about it before, all my future cars won't be without it.

thanks. right now i am most concerned about the bumper, grill, and head/fog lights. i do most of my driving in-town, and honestly dont put that many miles on my car, therefore i dont get that many rock chips (knock on wood)

Mercedes has used this grille for many, many years. It might be new to the C and G Class but it's old on the ML, GL, CLK, SL, CL, and CLS. The only difference is there are fewer bars now. And besides, the Power Plenum is just hideous.

The painted grille on the TL looks bad but I actually like it a lot on the TSX.

I did not love the grill at first (did not hate it) but now I like it a lot on the TSX. Still not in love on the TL.

thats because the grill on the TL is all bad. BF always refers to it as a really big bottle opener.

They were shooting for new and captivating. Yet they still used the old "[A]" emblem on the front. I think that was a mistake. They could've designed a new "A" emblem or do anyway with it and introduce something new.

That would take Acura from low brand recognition to none.
