Nice, and I see you have a clear bra. Best decision you and I have ever made.

Sorry for the obligatory instagram pic. I just picked the TSX up last night.
It's joining my 09 535i in the garage. The g35 got moved outside.

Umm, 6MT or Auto? Congrats on the SE. Always liked the 535 and had a G35S. Nice rides...

I'm trying to decide if I want an auto or manual SE (assuming I can even find a manual). I have owned manual cars for the last 15 years and still enjoy driving it, but the wifey can't drive manual (and refuses to learn) and an auto would be more convenient because I do encounter stop and go traffic quite often on my daily commute, but I've read that the manual transmission on the TSX is amazing...decisions, decisions...

GET THE MANUAL!

I made this mistake based partly on the wife situation, and now I'm selling the 2011 5AT Sport Wagon and have picked up a 2012 SE 6MT. Here's the thing about the wife. It may be a problem every now and again that she can't drive your car. But it's going to be a problem every day for you to be driving a 5AT when you really want the 6MT. I drive in traffic too, and it can be a pain, but when it's not a pain, it's so completely worth it. I've ultimately realized that driving a 6MT is therapeutic for me, and it's like having a hobby that doesn't take any extra time from your day. And the TSX 6MT is about as good as they get in this class.

I agree!!! The SE has the best clutch I have ever experienced! I have to live with the DC traffic and still got a manual over the tech package and don't regret it.

And there it is. In 20 years of driving I've only had a few months recently without a manual car, and it drove me nuts. K24 + 6MT is a wonderful setup, very few things come close and certainly not in the same price range.

Meh.
For me, if it has 4 doors, it should be a auto. (With the exception of a evo)
Manuals are for sports cars.
The tsx is not a sports car.
It may be a sporty sedan but to me it's a sedan.

Besides. The paddles do me just fine if i need to pass or downshift for whatever reason.

On my way home from the dealership, July 1 2012:

And more recent photos, taken because I got a ticket for my tint and have to remove it... (front windows only, but still):

I love my SE, but was too impatient waiting for an MT in Cali... and got an auto. Besides, she is a commuter and carries my 19 month old most of the time so racing around in a MT is not an option right now.
