Shout to all you Special Editioners out there!

I just noticed that I have not seen many pics of SEs out there. So how about a thread for all us SEers to post their pics? I would like to admire others' rides . Everyone out there glad they got an SE?

I posted quite a few of mine already, so no need to post mine...

Come on let's see em!

I picked up a 2012 Silver Moon SE 6MT a few weeks ago. Digging it so far, could have done without all the SE gimmickry, but it's worth it to get the 6MT. Hope the Lux Suede holds up well as I'd like to keep this car for awhile. I had a 2004 TSX 6MT that I sold about 16 months ago when I picked up a 2011 TSX Sport Wagon. LOVE the wagon, but found myself missing the 6MT in a way that I determined wasn't going to go away, so I bit the bullet and bought the SE. No pics to post; I'm completely stock. Planning to tint 35% here in the next month or so but no actual mods planned. Wish my wife would take the Sport Wagon as I'd love to keep it, but she likes her car, so I will be posting it for sale here hopefully by the end of the week.

Cbp se

CBP SE
Bought 2 months ago with 4 Miles on it.

so far ive:
carbon fiber vinyl'ed the beak.
Carbon fiber vinyl'ed the center console.
Carbon fiber vinyl'ed chrome trim in rear
plasti-dipped rear emblems
35% tint all around. ( i need to get the rear re-done. they couldnt figure out how to take the panel off so they cut around the brake light.)
Painted Engine Covers White
white replaced all interior lights with white LEDs except the back dome light. did that in blue.
White LED DRLs with resistors ( i have a extra set on the way that ill prob sell if anyone is intersted. accidentally ordered 2 sets)

I have a decklid spoiler that i just dont know what to do with...
im trying to get it hydro-dipped carbon.. may go that route. i dont really want it color matched. it really doesnt stand out enough for it.

Future mods:
6000k fog light bulbs on the way.
wheels: 18x8 MB Battles or Akita AK35s
either Eibach springs or megan coils.
Hydro-sip carbon or get it covered in alcantara the silver interior trim

Just detailed her yesterday.
clay bar'ed
waxed
interior treated with lexol and 303 protectant everywhere.

You should try to get the carbon on your center console to face the same way. Also, I was not aware that SE's came in Automatic.

It's too bad there wasn't a wagon special edition. I would have bought it.

Oh and a 6MT AND Tech package

BobbyC -- did you have to take apart the center console to cover the trim pieces with the wrap?

Where did you get the wrap?

Yea you do. It's actually pretty easy too.
You just start at the shifter, pull up and it pops out. Then grab the cup holder and pop that out.
The hardest part was the coin tray and not lighter plug. I didn't take those out just stuck em on there and cut em out.

I didn't plan on doing that but that fake wood scratches really easily. Got a Nast scratch vacuuming one day so I just covered it before it got worse.

I did cross the weave on purpose to see how it would look. I'll most likely re-do it. Just haven't had time.

The drl mod is another easy one too. Just bought some bulbs and a set of plug and play resistors. Used zip ties to secure the resistors and plugged the bulbs in.
I have another set on the way that I'll prob sell. Pm me if youre interested.
I accidentally bought 2 sets because I got impatient.

Just finished installing blue footwell LEDs tonight. I had a set of the strips laying around. Saw killerGs DIY and figured why not. Another really easy mod.

You can search eBay for 9005 led bulbs and led resistors 9005.

Stay away from the cheap Chinese shit though.
It takes forever to get here and the quality is shit.
I bought some 120 SMD LEDs from china a while ago and it came in like 6 pieces + shitty soldering.

I think I spent around $50 total.

Very easy to install. Unplug bulbs. Plug the car wire to resistor, resistor wire to bulb, install. Mount the resistors on a metal area. The recommend screws but I used zip ties and have not had a problem.

No high beams with that mod though.

I'm digging the carbon fiber! I agree about that fake wood. I hate the look of it also.
Where did you get the carbon fiber and any tips on putting it on?
And did you take the grill off to carbon fiber it, or just put it on and cut it out?

i bought it off ebay.

dont always get the cheap stuff though. the cheaper stuff doesnt like to stick as well as the 3M kind.
as for tips, the interior is pretty easy except the little indented part under the e-brake.

just cut enough of the material to cover everything, peel the backing off, take a hair dryer to it for a few to get it nice and pliable. stick it on real good and trim the edges. i used a razor blade and just went with the edges.

the curved area bubbled up for a few days after the install but i just pushed it back down and now its all good.

the exterior i did with the bumper on.
again, cut enough to cover the entire area and since i didnt have a long enough extension cord to my townhome parking lot, i just left it on the hood for a few mins in the sun to get it nice and warm.

clean the shield with some alcohol, put the vinyl on and go over it making sure its stuck in every possible place it need to be.
run your fingernails at the ends to get it in the creases. this is where youll also cut.

once thats done, push in on the emblem slightly to find the edges and cut along that with a razor.

its really not that hard. youre just following edges with a razor.

finally got this thing looking decent enough to go on my car.

i tried various different vendors for the wrap on ebay and finally got one that was thin and sticky enough to work with for the deck lid./

if youve never tried to wrap one of these.... its a pain in the ASS.
damn those late night drunken ebay buys. i wished id never bought this damn spoiler.

yea its a pain in the ass.
the trick is to get the thinnest vinyl you can find.
you can get most of it wrapped without cutting but the back 2 edges have to be cut and overlaid.

i ended up just patching up 2 parts in the back. turned out ok.
just finished installing. waiting for it to set.

slightly off center.. :/

not really noticeable unless youre looking for it.. id say its about 1cm to far to the left.

i have my front plate installed as well, drilling is optional for a more secure fitment, but if you dont want to drill into the bumper, it is still held in place with 2 bolts that go into the bottom grill area

I'm a "prospective" SE owner coming from a 2003 RSX-S My son is almost 3 and it's getting too hard to get him in and out of the backseat I'm not a fan of the styling on the body kit-less TSX and I actually think I would prefer seude over leather so the SE seems ideal for me.

I'm waiting for pre-owned SE's to drop into the $24-$25K range in another 1-2 yrs (I've seen some as low as $26K now). They seem pretty difficult to find however (AutoTrader shows only about 70 used SE's in the entire U.S right now). I'm sure it will be easier to find one used in another year or two since it is still a relatively new model. When the time comes, I'm hoping I can find a well kept 6 speed BWP within a 500 mile radius but will settle for an automatic. Just wanted to chime in! Keep posting up pictures!

dealers are pushin the hell out of those SE's right now.

doesnt hurt to go talk to em.

Have a 2012 CBP 6MT. Bought in July, 4300 miles and absolutely love it. AEM CAI, RV6 PCD, Vibrant Resonator, 35% tint all around, 18" TSW Mugello's with Michelin Super Sports, Progress RSB, debadged except for Acura Logo on rear, Daniel Stern upgraded high beams and WeatherTech floor liners.

Absolutely love the car. Much faster with mods, handles really great with the Michelins and Progress RSB. Drove a local curvy road and it is absolutely fantastic on the curves. Have had a bunch of compliments on how it looks. The 6MT makes this car. All who have ridden in it thinks it is the V-6. Best part, I'm getting 28 mpg and having all the fun I used to have with my G35S 6MT with MUCH better gas mileage (important these days).

Like the Suede and other SE features. Only wish I could have Nav and ELS (had it in my 2008 TL). But, for $12k less than a BMW 328, it is a hell of a deal.

Have to go to son's football game but will post some pics in the next day or so.

Yep... That's why I love our tsx... 4door daily driver to get the kids in and out of. Sporty enough to keep me satisfied too. And it also looks damn good

Funny, I used to have a g35 6mt as well. I miss it sometimes. But give me the smoothness, and reliability if an Acura anyday!

Yea, I miss the G sometimes also. However, agree with the smoothness and reliability comments. I referred to the G as a 4 door Mustang, the TSX is a lot more refined.

BTW, like the shots of your car. Looks good. Where exactly do you have the Clearbra applied?
