Great news Marcus.

So what is the final price, I assume the $100 is only a deposit requirement for the SS Exhaust, and $69 for the shortshifter kit. Please post pricing for the icebox, SS Exhaust and short shifter kit.

just wondering, does our car already have shorter throws than most on the mt? so would the shortshifter help much? or more for looks purposes?

I don't have final pricing on the icebox or the exhaust but there is a Preorder link in the sale pages that should give you the numbers.

The $69 is for the short shifter complete, not a deposit. It's pretty cheap and self-explanatory...just buy one if you want it

Add a Maven Knob if you want a great knob as well.

Am I reading this correctly? $100 for the exhaust and $250 for the supercharger kit??? You're probably missing a zero in there

$250 is like a downpayment/pre-order type of deal. It is to ensure your "spot" when the sc is release.

the actual product is probably around $250 + a 0 in the back x2, so around 5K lol.

Ohhh great news, finally icebox and supercharger kit, i was thinking they weren't even going to make the cat back system... came a bit late but better than not at all i guess... few months ago i really wish comptech had an exhaust for our 2nd gen, but now... not as much anymore as i've decided i need to have a long hard think before i purchase exhaust for this car, not only do i have to include the price into consideration, but also i think i would need to hear a decent sound clip of the exhaust reving before i even think about buying it.

i would really like to see how much they'd set the retail price as for the stainless steel cat back system, if it's anything under 1000, it'll be very tempting as the only two available right now on the market is Fujitsubo and Mugen and they're 1800 AUD and 2xxx AUD respectively... but then again would i be dreaming to hope that it'll be under 1000 USD?

Well, lucky for you, unless you actually get the blower, thr exhaust won't do much for you power-wise. You'd only be getting it for the sound and the looks. Count on it being more than $1000.

That's an important detail that can be counted on with respect to CT-E. They don't fudge numbers for sales hype. Whatever it makes, it makes & I'm sure the real gains would be realized after the SC install.

If one thinks about it, a 4 cylinder with duals is for aesthetics anyway. So, no surprise there's not huge gains from an aftermarket replacement.

so is the SC kit about 5 grand for roughly 50 horses atw? or something like that? 50 - 80? would a custom turbo kit that you spend about the same price put out more? btw does that kit require ECU? i think it doesn't right?

More like 4 grand actually.

And I promise if you do a custom setup you will spend more. I don't dispute a turbo is really the way to go in general, but factor in the tuning and you are certainly going to spend WAY more unless you want a less refined result.

Reliability / driveability?

Anyone have info on exactly what this will do the character of a daily driver TSX (besides make it fast)? Is reliabililty a concern? Impact on factory warranty?

I'd assume it is just as the other CT supercharger offerings...

Carb legal, well refined, excellent fitment, minimal or no impact on drivability and invisible operation when not driving fast.

These kits have been known to be very reliable on 4-cylinder applications.

The roots style blowers are very driveable and CT's kits are designed for daily drivers. Most of their 4 cyl kits make 50-60whp reliably and the driveability is generally very good. Some dealers will even install the kit and keep the warranty in place.

I've had a CT-E SC kit on my 04 TSX for 3 years and 75K+ miles now!

wonder how much more difference it feels acceleration wise, 50 horses is that like roughly about 20 ish KW? my auto really lacks torque... would really want an SC kit actually

the only other popular honda that i've seen in the australia forum with a comptech supercharger kit is this blue S2000 with the plate VTEC, not sure what other mod he's got but he's pushing about 330whp
