Returning the TSX??
Hey i already bought my tsx(no navi, auto) from an acura dealer teh other day. I havent gotten teh car yet but its suppose to be here within a few days. Only half the paperwork has been signed since its not here yet and i was wondering if its possible to change my mind and get a 2008 tl type S. You guys think i should just keep the car or try to get the type S?

Yeah, it really depends on what you want. I was considering a TL type S over the TSX; test drove one and everything. I just don't need that much power and will be driving A LOT so think the TSX fits me better. If I wanted an awesome looking car (not that the TSX is bad looking), more power and did't drive around as much I'd get the TL-S.

yea, im still thinking about whether or not i should change it. I already good a really good deal on teh car (30,300 out door price) and its something that i will use for a LONG time.

While the power is certainly tempting, think about the gas you will use, as well. I see you are only 19.....are you going to be paying for this yourself? Will you have money to pay for gas while in college? Premium is quickly approaching $4/gal here in NJ and is even more elsewhere. The TSX is a little more frugal in this respect.

Sounds like you're considering changing because of "value". If you bought the car (not leased) and plan to sell it in 3-4 years, consider the fact that the 08 TL is going to take a bath compared to the TSX. The 08 TL will be "older" then the 09 TL when you get it, plus the new model TL will hurt residuals on the older 08 generation when it comes out this fall.
Bottom line; Do the TL deal if that's what you really wanted and just made a mistake in choice. Don't do it for "total cost of ownership" reasons or that you think the TL will be a better value.

To Tapwave, doesn't hurt to ask. Maybe a after some more time in the TL-S you'll decide to stick with the TSX.

I'm always at odds with myself.....I have a very emotional side that wants fun/exciting cars, but then my rational side kicks in and makes me rethink things. The rational side usually wins out. Although, I do try to compromise. I'm a very complicated being.

That's sort of like asking someone to tell you which woman to marry.
Both cars are good; so it depends upon your taste, your needs, and your resources.
But, your age would suggest the TSX over the TL.
If you could get a good deal on a stock '06-'08 TSX with less than 45,000 miles, it would be a option worth considering. It would be smaller and easier to handle in tight spaces. I would use a depreciation rate of about 10 percent per year and then add 2K for dealer markup if you buy from a dealer -- and up to 4K if it is a certified car.
In regards to changing your mind, the dealer can always let you off the hook -- if he cares to do so. At worst, you might loose a deposit.

^^^^ I agree
with the op's age and the economy with fuel cost I would def. go with the tsx.
I love my CL-S but with gas prices going up I'm scared to even get on it a little.
Premium was 4.15 here the other day.
