removing the upper grille (chrome portion)

Does anyone know how to remove just the upper chrome section of the front grille? Does it require removing the entire bumper to get it off?

I looked around at the other threads for grille replacement DIYs/pics, but they were all for 06-08 models. I have several scratches and such in the chrome and am going to replace it. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The entire bumper has to be removed in order to access all the connection points.

It's not extremely difficult to remove the bumper, I've done it already in order to install the Aero kit.

Thanks derwoodee. I was hoping that I wouldnt need to remove the bumper. I havent tore into it too much yet, but it kind of looked like th upper grille portion just clips on the the other section of the grille. So are there screws that are behind the grill that affix it to the rest of the grille/bumper?

Yup, they're kind of in the back bottom portion of the grill/bumper. You can get the bumper off in less than 15 mins if you follow the tech's instruction pages. I have them in PDF format if you need them. Just drop me a PM or email me if you'd like a copy. darrenp2@hotmail.com
