Rear Bumper Gap

The gap between my bumper and rear tail light on the drivers side of my car has gotten very tight. The dealership says there is no way to adjust this as the shoulder bolt behind the pop-off panel aligns the bumper where it needs to be. The gap has gotten so tight that it will rub the tail light if you even slightly bump the bumper on that side.

Does anyone have any advice or insight on how to adjust the gap of the bumper?

Ya, post some pics.

Has it been in an accident before?

The car was hit by a 6 year old, but only caused cosmetic damage. The bumper gap was fine prior to the body shop painting the bumper to repair the damage caused by the bike. The body shop attempted to adjust the gap but told me they couldn't get it any better due to the shoulder bolt. I will post pics when I get a chance, possibly later today.
