Painted calipers

I didn't like the plain unfinished metal look so I went with black instead of one of the loud colors like red for Brembo. It's just stock brakes so I didn't see the point of drawing attention. I'd like to put white Acura letters or Acura logo (stickers) on them but it seems they wouldn't hold up under very high temperatures. +300 degrees. Also, there's not much flat area for the letters. Suggestions or experience with this?

Glad you did black!

I cringed when I entered this thread; thought you were going to be like most boy racers on here and paint their puny stock brakes a flashy color.

This. Never understood the fascination with painting calipers but at least you chose the right color.

I put the letters on the back and the RDX covers on the front

REAR (sorry for the dirtiness) I shot a few coats of clear overs the letters to make sure they stay on

Where did you get your letters? How long have they held up on your car? (withstanding the heat)

Bagwell how did the RDX covers fit? I saw them on the 3g tl thread and they look good. I might be picking some up. I am going to get them in pink.

they've been on the car for a couple of months with no issues; got them here - the set contains 2 curved for the front and 2 straight for the rear

I just ordered the stickers from your recommendation. I found other sellers but I like that this place calls-out 'high heat' in the description. > Thanks
Wondering if there's any extra measures I could do to ensure long term life; i.e. clear coat spray or extra glue. The caliper surface if very rough so I'm a little worried about how stickers will adhere to a non-smooth surface.

I cleaned the painted caliper with rubbing alcohol, applied the stickers, pressed each letter on firmly into the rough surfaces, then shot with 2 or 3 coats of hi temp clear.

Would powder coating be a good option?
