Make a hole, coming thru!
Y'all need to back down on cg2006tsx. As stated, he was lurking to learn about the TSX before buying. Not a bad idea; pluses and minuses are discussed here endlessly. I also didn't detect the same a-hole whiffs you guys did, everyone's entitled to buy/lease the car they want for their circumstances. cg2006tsx was simply being candid about his purchase decision. In fact, the only flaming or vitriol I can see is directed AT cg2006tsx. Just my .

The TSX will be presented in Geneva 2008 as the next gen Honda Accord.
Than, Acura will put on sell the TSX in April or May 2008 after the presentation in New York.
The TL was presented in NY 2003 as concept, and WILL be in the 2008 NY, as concept, presented officially at the end of August and put on sale in October 2008. Don't forget the TL is the MOST important model for Acura.
About the RL, I'm not sure at all that it will be presented this year. What? a mid model? Too late. A new one? Too much!! TSX, TL, RL, and what else?

Not sure if this has been discussed at all so don't me to bad. But I had my TSX serviced last week and tried to pick my Advisor's brain about the new TSX and TL. He didn't know much as he said Acura is being tight lipped, but he did mention that items for a CSX, supposedly a coupe version of the TSX, are showing up in their service computers.

CSX is an Acura model sold in Canada. Basically a re badged Civic. Like most people who work at dealerships. Sounds like your service advisor knows nothing.

I forgot they showed the TL Concept back in 2003! Dah to me. So then we will see it in NY.
The RL is scheduled for a MMC this spring or summer, when info will be avail is the question.
It is going to be a busy time for Acura!!!!

An MMC on the RL is a total waste of money. And since Honda has already admitted to the RL not meeting their expectations. I doubt they'll change it. They'd be better off waiting to do a total redesign.

It's 2008. I think we're all overdue for a fresh batch of TSX spy shots!
Someone message Chris Doane/Brenda Priddy and tell them to get back to work as soon as those rum-spiked egg nogs wear off!

some news on the web, www.vtec.net.
Unless Acura's planning something in more secrecy than usual, they do not have plans to show anything new at Detroit.
2009 Acura TSX
We've seen some heavily disguised prototypes of the '09 TSX in a number of spy shots, but we don't know a whole lot more about this car than whatever's already been published here. Yet. That will change fairly soon, and the world will know the full details before the end of the 1st quarter (and ahead of the New York Auto Show). We've heard that the 2nd generation TSX will not disappoint current TSX fans, and it sounds like at least the base version will follow a very similar basic formula (FF, 4-cyl), but the rumored up-spec variant has yet to be confirmed.

There's no doubt that 2007 was a super quiet year for Acura. Maybe they're freshening up the RL so that it doesn't look too dated beside the 09 TSX and TL when they are finally unveiled....would be really bad if you were to walk around the Acura booth at an autoshow and see 2 new sporty sedans beside a dated-looking flagship.

They probably want to give it that shield like grill to make it match the rest of the line up. It's true that they're in a tough spot because suppose someone walks onto the lot looking at TLs, how is the salesmen supposed to talk them up to the RL with a straight face? Meanwhile people looking for RL class cars probably aren't even bothering to stop at an Acura dealer.

I am also guessing the RL will be on a longer than 5 year model run (again) to move its FMC away from the TSX and TL FMCs and bring out the next generation when they introduce Acura to the Japanese market. I would also expect the new NSX around the same time.

There has to be more information coming out soon because the 04 TSX was introduced in in early 03 so hopefully Acura wont keep us waiting much longer.

i don't know how everyone feels about this, but personally, i like it when the auto company doesn't churn out new styling every two years as it (in my view) would tend to lower/depreciate the value of the vehicle quickly, no?

There will be two trim levels available. Production starts in March for April delivery. More details are on my site.

Do you know if the prices are going to go up significantly? Or will invoice prices remain within $500 of what they are now?

From Colin's web site
"Standard TSX: The standard model will mirror the feature set on the base RDX. This means that the luxury features that are available on the current base TSX will carry over and be suplimented by "new luxury amenities and audio capabilities that will all contrubute the the new TSXs added appeal"
Technology Package: Again, this will mirror the feature set of the RDX Tech package and will include Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition with new functionality. AcuraLink Satellite Communication system (where XM is available), and a new 10 speaker Acura ELS Premium 10 speaker surround sound system.
There is no word on powertrains at this time and as I noted earlier, the first look at the new body design will come sometime in April. I'll be adding the available colors on Monday so watch this space for an update then."
This is my first post in many a moon. I love that the TSX is going to ELS. I have been loving it since first heard it in the 2004 TL.

Thanks, Colin, for the great info!
I think this is exciting indeed! I surely hope that there will be more differences between the TSX and the Euro Accord though... but we shall see.
You know, if the RDX 2.3L turbo engine will be available, can you imagine how fast the new TSX will be? The RDX is fast already, and the TSX will be hundreds of pounds lighter with better aerodynamics too... just imagine that!!! :-)
