MS3 to TSX - Hello from Nova Scotia

Hi all. I picked up my Vortex Blue 2011 TSX Tech this summer. I traded in my 2008 Mazdaspeed 3.

Really enjoying the car s far. The interior is gorgeous. I've always been a fan of Honda/Acura products and I thought this would go well beside my wife's 2010 CR-V . I'm in the Canadian Forces as a Non-Destructive Testing Technician posted here in Nova Scotia.

Not many plans for the TSX. After the mod bug hit me withe the Speed 3, I want to keep this ride simple. I've gotten tint and Lamin-X for the fogs so far. Might do a K&N and side window visors.

Just wanted to say Hi.

Thanks for the welcomes.

Looks like lot of great information on this site. A couple things I have noticed with the car: This paint is really soft and I have developed a rattle under the passenger seat when someone is in it. I am pretty OCD when it comes to my car so the rattle drives me crazy! I saw a post on it here that I'll try to follow up on to fix it.

I'm loving the stereo with the tech package and the nav system. The Vortex Blue is pretty stunning in the sunlight too.

Does the seat rattles when someone *is* in it? The "normal" rattle of the passenger seat _goes away_ then someone sits in it... So this may be yet another different rattle to add to the (long) list of TSX rattles.

"Welcome" from another VBP owner here. Are you missing the torque of the MS3?

The seat only rattles when there is a passenger in it. Sounds like a ping pong ball hitting something metal.

There's aren't many TSX's on the road where I am. I think I'm the only 2nd gen around. The sales manager told me I had the only VBP 2011 sold in the province.

I do miss the power of the Speed 3. When I was done, it should have been pushing close to 300HP and over that in torque. Passing was effortless but I found I could never use it. Here are a few more pics.

The TSX must be something special to people cuz I noticed a trend with new members of going from more powerful cars to the TSX.

Unless of course if you're 24Boosted who went from TSX to EVO lol

For me I just wanted something nicer, quieter, smoother.... a little more "grown up". Although I miss the MS3's power sometimes, I enjoy the TSX every time I drive it.
