I just noticed my moonroof rattles like crazy when it's tilted. When I close it or fully open it it doesn't rattle. Anyone come across this problem? I have a 2009 TSX Tech.

I have the opposite problem. With the moonroof closed with the "fabric sun cover thing" opened, and I go over a bump or into a driveway, I can hear it creaking and crackle. It's not that loud, but it's noticeable.

Mine does that too. It comes and goes. I also have the creaking rear shelf. My '96 Ford Probe GT was tight as a drum with had no squeaks and rattles after 12 years when I retired it. Also the paint on the fake metal painted plastic trim is coming off already. The TSX is my first Japanese car after only owning Ford and so far I am not impressed with the alleged Japanese quality advantage over American vehicles. I always suspected it was a myth and now I know it. I'll be going back to Ford when my lease is up. There will be a 2011 Taurus SHO with my name on it or perhaps the Fusion SHO if they have one by then.

^^ Of course the Ford Probe was actually a Mazda 626.....

The engine and chassis were by Mazda. Everything else was by Ford, and it was built in a Ford plant in Michigan.
