Just like the title says I just got my tl a-spec wheels 18x8 for my cbp now I just need the right tire size. I want some low profile tires I was thinking 235 40 18? any opinions?

I just ordered Enkei 18x8 rims for my '11 CBP TSX and opted for 235/45R18 Yokohama AVID. Seeing you are from Boston (as am I) you have to keep in mind the "more low profile" the tire the more chance of pothole accidents you're prone to. Getting an 18" was a great idea though.. our roads suck.

I got a quote from TireRack.com but ultimately asked Town Fair Tire to price match. The quote I got was $164/tire or $656 for the set. Then you have to add TPMS (tire pressure monitor sensors) but I recommend getting those direct from an OEM Acura dealer, the TireRack option is NOT OEM and are very expensive.

Depending on what part of "Boston" you live in the TFT in Natick and Shrewsbury were very helpful.

I won't comment on TPMS...
BUT will tell you to look at discounttiredirect.com , they offer great customer service and free shipping.

on my 18 x 8.5 aspecs...245's sat perfectly...I would imagine 235's would be fine.

Check out Yokohama 520's.
Falken 452's
Hankook Evo V12's.

Good luck!

i have 235 40 18's on my wheels right now and they look great IMO ... if u r undecided on what tire u want to go with i would suggest the continental extremecontact dws if u drive in snow or dw if no snow

I've had 235/40/18 and 245/40/18 and the 245s ride much nicer, IMO, but you'll feel a tad more sidewall softness in the hard turns obviously. It really depends on the rest of your suspension set up and the road conditions you typically face. I've tried Dunlop SP-01s, ContiSportContacts 2 and 3, Sumitomo HTR Z IIs, and Yokohama S.Drives and really loved the S.Drives, especially for the price.

Thanks for the opinion guys I live in lawrence which is about 25 mins from boston and our roads are horrible because of our harsh winters theres not one street without a pothole I jus recently lowered my baby on tein ss so now is when i really notice the potholes but I love the look as for the tires Ive been looking around and found some bridgestones 235 40 18 for 160 and they have the buy 3 get the 4th free Im most likely going with those unless I find a better deal....as soon as I put on the rims Ima take pics for u guys.....So the TPMS sensors I cant jus transfer them from my old tires to the new ones?

I think you can transfer the TPMS sensors but if you switch tires a lot, you might wanna get a separate set so you don't keep paying money to a shop to get them switched out.

Sometimes when swapping the TPMS you can break them.. though rare, I think you need a "TPMS refresh kit" but that may be false.. sorry, haven't swapped mine just yet, my rims are on order.

I plan to buy the TPMS from OEM Acura since i'll have summer/winter tires.
