Just got a 2011 TSX base manual 6-speed Graphite Luster!
Hey guys,
I'm new to the Acura community. Just bought my car yesterday. PICS coming soon!
It's a 2011 TSX in the Graphite Luster Metallic color (it looks DAMN good). Base model with a 6-speed manual transmission.
My dealer experience at Ed Voyles Acura (Atlanta) was superb.
Anyway, they offered me a 2010 base for $26.2k but it they didn't have the colors I really wanted interior and exterior. They also offered me a 2010 w/ tech for $28k and the colors I wanted but after seeing the 2011 tech vs the 2010 tech there was no way I was taking that thiing. The screen really is 10 times better in the 2011...I mean I thought the 2010 NAVI looked OK at first (I test drove both cars), but when I got a chance to check out the 2011 NAVI dude omg....there was just no way I would buy that 2010 tech...no way.
Anyway, they didn't have the 2011 tech in the graphite luster + black interior + manual like I wanted, so I ended up getting the car without the tech package (which I figure I didn't absolutely need). I got it for $28.2k at 0.9% APR which may not be the best price but I got the exact car I wanted which really makes all the difference to me. I'm very happy with the purchase and can't wait to show you guys.
I won't have pictures until I pick it up on Monday (it was fresh off the truck and not ready to leave the lot yet).
By the way, the 2011 interior looks very nice compared to the 2010. I recommend taking a look at both if you're interested in buying.

Congrats on the purchase. I'm sure we're all waiting for those pictures to come up. Also, I didn't see any major differences with the interior of the 2011 vs the 2010 besides the Navigation screen resolution being better. I went on with the 2010 with tech package though. Let us know when you get the pictures up.

Thank you brotha!
Interior I guess is subjective, I liked less buttons and the wooden dark grey panel as well as the leather with white stitching.
Both models had me interested and I spent like 6 hours at the dealership deciding. Pretty sure my salesman was sick of me by the end but he didn't show it even knowing it was New Years Eve.

Yes, I know what you mean. It's very nice though bro. I think that you can't go wrong with either, except I do like the better navigation screen better. My wife works for Honda Financial and she has an 09 TL and the navigation screen looks so good. It seems to me that Acura is closing the separation lines between the Tsx and the TL's. Personally, I think they need to do more work on the RL's however. Anyway, back on topic though......

apparently this color is really nice so I cant wait to see some pics. Congratulations bro and good choice on the 6spd

Congrats on your purchase. When I was shopping for my 2009, I did look at Ed Voyles' show room but had a bad salesman experience and went to Nalley instead.

Beauty! You may have picked up one of the first 2001 6 speeds. Not many out there. You'll love the performance and feel of the manual. When I drove the TSX auto and manual back in 2009, it was like a night and day driving experience... so much more fun and pep with the manual.
Enjoy the car. What a super way to start the new year!

can't justify spending another 3k for a navi, especially when i can get a top of the line tomtom for like 300...lol
But congrats on the purchase. I wish i'd have waited a few extra months and gotten the 2011...

Congrats, Deisun! Can't wait to see some pics!
Grigio and Polished Metal Metallic are both gone. From what I can surmise, the new color is a combo of both, leaning a little more towards the Grigio end of the spectrum.
I can see why some people would think this and when it comes to the Navi alone, you'd definitely have a point. But the backup camera is awesome to have and has proven to me time and time again to be invaluable, the MUCH better visual feedback for the audio, etc., made it well worth the extra $ to me.
But to each their own, of course!

Thank you for welcoming me to the Acura community, you guys are so nice!
Alright guys, here are some pictures. LOVE THE CAR so far! I couldn't stop smiling on my way home.
Grigio is not the same as the Graphite Luster Metallic. The Grigio is a shade of lighter grey with a brown it seems. The Graphite Luster metallic is a darker grey than the Grigio. It has a more metallic look to it. I had the chance to compare them both side by side and that is what I observed.
I pretty much like all the TSX models, they all look sexy to me. Also there are some pictures of my friends 2011 Maxima, we took these earlier today. He loves the Acura too.

Thank you!
By the way I got to give a shout out to Bob Welch and the Ed Voyles Acura crew in Atlanta. They were very professional about everything and made my buying experience truly great. Would definitely recommend them if you're near the Atlanta area.

Congrats and welcome to the forum.
I like the new colour (GLM). Can't wait to see them in person when the 2011 model arrives in the Canadian showroom (sometime mid Jan). How do you like the woodgrain on the centre console? I was hoping they will get the dark woodgrain like the European Accord.

Thanks. Only planning on tints for now, no mods...yet.
The only other thing I was considering is going with the fully clear headlights, but I may leave them alone since it looks so good stock.
Here are a few more pictures I took with my phone:

gorgeous!! The new 11' look is awesome I think.

I love the color - goes from deep grey to black depending on the lighting. I think Acura does some great colors - love how they change depending on where/when you look at them (PM - goes from grey to taupe, grigio goes from dark grey to brown, etc) - really cool concept.
Congrats on the new ride and welcome!

I actually like this color.
I didn't really care for Grigio or PMM but this GLM looks properly gray(if that makes any sense).
I'm confused who all the people are in these pictures. Do the three of you share the two cars?
Enjoy in good health!

I'm the brown haired guy with the Acura that needs a haircut (lol). Then my sister is in both pics, she is with her boyfriend in the 2011 Maxima.

The front grille is definitely growing on me. It looks better than in other 2011 pics I've seen. Try taking some pics on a regular camera or DSLR instead of your camera phone so that we can see the "true" color! I think your white balance is off on your phone camera.
Oh and love the Maxima (I had a '95 and an '03). Looks really good in white.

Yeah it does look dark grey to black depending on which angle you look at it. I'd say like dark metallic.
The lighting in my pictures wasn't optimal but I had to get some before it was dark (these were takin during sunset).
Couple things I've noticed about the car so far after driving it around a bit:
The first thing I noticed was how quiet it is on the inside with the windows shut. At the dealership right before I left the lot my friend was standing right outside my driver window and I could BARELY even hear him talk to me! He has a loud voice too so I was surprised a bit there. I had to open the window just to hear enough to understand what he was saying. It's really really quiet, if you have the car in idle you can't even tell it's on.
Another cool thing is when I put the car in Reverse, the passenger side mirror automatically tilts down just a bit so I can see the curbside much easier (while still allowing to see behind me too). I thought that was a really nice touch, not sure if every TSX has that or not but I'm already finding it very useful.
This is really nice considering my main fear is curbsiding the wheels and scratching them.
On that note though, I am finding it hard to judge where the back of the car is since the car seems higher in the back. It might just be something I will "feel out" eventually. I almost wish I got backup sensors though, might be something to think about for the future.
Overall though, the car drives like a dream. Especially with the 6-speed MT. It's very responsive and definitely has some kick when you want it to. I'm extremely pleased with my purchase, this is the best car I've ever owned.

Yep, you will definitely grow to love it even more over time. I've had mine for 2 years now and out of all of the cars I've owned, I still love it the most.
The right side mirror tilting when in reverse is standard (at least on the 2nd gens). Does your right side mirror tilt down, even when your setting isn't set to Right? If it isn't set to Right and the right side mirror still tilts down, that may be something new in the 2011's.
Not sure what car you drove before, but the TSX is definitely smaller than it looks. Compared to a Maxima, for example, it is a night and day difference (especially when cornering). Give it a few weeks and you'll learn your car's perimeter in no time.
Oh and yes, the 2nd gens noise insulation is wonderful. A lot of the R&T-type reviews cite that you can tell how well the TSX is built based on closing the door and listening to the sound.
Congrats again!

Sharp car. Do like the color as well.

Thanks guys. If you're interested I'll try to get some more close-ups of the paint and the wheels and interior with better sunlight. I'm giving it a quick wash tomorrow with Meguiars Gold Class wash soap. Just gonna be a quick rinse and clean on the body and wheels (since it rained 2 days ago).
BTW anyone got any recommendations as to what products to use to maintain this badboy? So far I have done some research and bought: Meguiars Gold Class car wash and conditioner, Meguiars interior detailer, Lexol leather conditioner, Stoner invisible window/glass cleaner.
I plan on just using the Meguiars Gold Class for the wheels every week or other week to keep them clean.
