How to polish out scratches in woodgrain?
I've just noticed that there's heaps of tiny scratches in the wood grain area where the cup holders/hand brake are.
Does anybody know how to polish out these scratches out with damaging the gloss finish?

cover it all up with matte black vinyl, wood grain is ugly and fake

It's black wood grain so it's quite subtle, it just looks like black gloss. You can't see the grain until you look close.
Did you cover yours with vinyl?
I know that wood grain might be a bit tacky but matte black, to me, seems a bit cheap. The base Accord has a matte finish and I'm not a big fan of it.

^ I like the black wood grain look too.
In fact, I have the sports shift knob for my 6MT in black wood grain from the UK. Now, if I can just order the centre console in that colour within paying big bucks.

Yeah, I covered all my wood grain up with matte black. It matches the rest of my interior really well, I'm really happy with the way it turned out. It might be a bit more plain with it on, but I cant stand fake wood grain. I think its tacky and for old people cars(just my opinion). I believe the tech version has a matte black finish instead of wood grain.
In the last picture it looks like the covered parts are different shades of black but its just because of the sunlight. It all matches in real lifes.

I left all the parts on while i wrapped them. Just take an xacto knife and carefully trim and work your way around the parts. I took out the window switches, but those you just have to pull up to get out. Around the shifter knob was tricky to do without taking it off because of how large it was and the curves. I have imperfections in that area currently, I need to figure out how to take it off and re wrap it one of these days I have time.
