How to attach front license plate?
2011 TSX Base
I just moved from a state that requires only a rear plate to one that requires both a front and a rear plate.
My car has 2 holes in the lower grille but the license doesn't fit there so I'm guessing it's for some sort of bracket?
If so, where can I find this? Would I then need to drill holes into my bumper as well?
I currently have my front plate attached with zip ties to those 2 holes in the lower grille but it doesn't sit flush.
Would like a more secure and permanent solution.
Thanks!

#32 is a little bracket that slips into the black plastic grille. It is threaded to receive #24.
#24 is the mounting screw that attaches the plate bracket (#12) to the lower holes.
The upper part of brakcet #12 attaches directly to your bumper with screws (#40 or #42) which will permanently fuck it up with mangled holes.
Then the license plate attaches to the #12 bracket with whichever screws (#40 or #42) weren't used for the bumper fucking.
So to do it the right way, get all that shit. If you don't want to fuck up the bumper, just attach it to the grille with zip ties or some creative bolts, washers, and nuts.
Or forego the plate all together and just pay the fix-it tickets when you get them.

Texas requires front and rear plates, but I haven't run a front plate in the past 5 years and haven't had any issues. I was pulled over for speeding once or twice and they said nothing about the missing front plate. I will say that at least Acura provides mounting points on the front so you don't have to drill holes. The reason I haven't had a front plate for 5 years was because I refused to drill into my BMW front bumpers. With my TSX I didn't put on the front one just because I prefer the look without it.

Enforcement varies state by state (and even town by town), and if nothing else, being in violation provides pretty much automatic probable cause for a stop. For most that's probably not a problem, but you never know. I ran without a front plate for years, but once fines went crazy for just about anything, plus violation carries points in most states, I caved.

Probably getting a 2021 TLX and was thinking of asking dealer not to drill the bumper for lame holder. There is really no where for it in front anyway.
Saw a new-ish Maserati sedan in the parking-lot the other day, and they just had theirs on the dash (inside right).
Wish Texas would just pass the law to exempt special cars or let us apply for exemption.
