Hole in a 2G AC Condensor, please advise

So last Friday (12/16) a friend of mine was driving home and she ran over a branch in the road. The branch went through the lower grill and put a hole in the AC Condenser. Acura wants about $700 to replace the condenser. Seems like a bit much but at the same time I do not know how hard of a fix it is. My questions are:

Should we go ahead and let Acura fix it for their quoted cost?

Should we buy the condenser online and pbing it in to Acura to fix?

Buy a Condenser from Autozone or Acura and have an indie shop fix it?

Take the car to an independent shop and not worry about it?

OR, Buy the condenser from Autozone/Acura and fix it myself?

Thanks for any and all advise

just a suggestion: Maybe it can be covered by the comprehensive part of the insurance-depending on the deductible.

Good advice, NJ, I had a small piece of board frisbee itself into the lower radiator support on my 91 SE-R & insurance picked it up under comprehensive (good) as opposed to collision (bad). Depends on your carrier and deductible. (Is it worth to claim a $700 repair with a $500 deductible?)

Or, you can get one on eBay for $150 & take it to a good independent A/C shop. (I'm assuming you have the I4.)

Unless you have manifold gauges and a vacuum pump to suck down the system and replace the correct PAG oil and R134...don't attempt it yourself.
