Help with trailer wiring harness

I have a Curt 55502 wiring harness that I purchased because Curt AND the retailer promised me no splicing was required.

Turns out splicing is required, but I don't know which wire (or wires) to splice.

I have a 2012 TSX Special Edition. The wiring harness has t-connectors that match the connectors behind the rear driver-side tail lights, except for one female only connector. It's not a t-connector and even if it was, there are no unmatched connectors on the driver-side. I *think* this connector is for the rear passenger light but the wire is not long enough to reach the passenger side. Guessing I need to access and splice some wire on the driver-side. Can anyone confidebtlc advise me?

I looked in to this at one point and a few sites did say the tsx is not prewired in the US. I don't have much info for you but please keep us posted. I am planning on doing this next year.

Sheefo2k: Should be a very simple splice. Several people here almost certainly knows which wire to splice. It's only a question of whether or not they see this thread and take the time to respond. Will let you know if I find an answer.

I will work with you. Your curt harness has how many wires?
Are you trying to tap in to your brake light? or taillight? It has to be one of those 2 lol
