Help! About to lease TSX but now there is the ILX...
I just graduated from college and am about to lease the 2012 TSX at a fantastic price, about $325 with $2,200 down at 15k miles a year, 36 months. I couldn't be more in love with the car, but it's at the upper end of my budget. After seeing the pictures of the new ILX I think that might be a better option for me.
I have 2 questions:
1) How much will the ILX cost, and any idea how much the packages will be? I would get the base model with smaller engine or hybrid.
2) When would I be able to take delivery of one?
Thanks for your help.

If its not in your budget, I say save your marbles and when they actually come out with the ILX then decide between the two... No point on rushing something and regretting it later when you fall in love with the ILX...
I know the wait will kill you but it just give your more time to save up and research both models

^ What the others have said. I'm going out on a limb here and say the ILX should be anywhere from $24-26k. But Honda should be releasing something about it soon. I'm guessin within the next 2 months.

I would say wait a little more for a better deal on a TSX, but still avoid the ILX during the first year. While my TSX hasn't been a nightmare per se, owning an '09 TSX and the first year of the redesign gave me annoying bugs and many trips to the dealer that the other years didn't seem to have. Also, later models got an upgraded Navi screen, HDD, and other little odds and ends that I do not have. Deal breakers? Eh, not really, but it did make some of my tech gadgets a little more dated more quickly than I would have liked.
I had to buy a car at the time, as my '94 Accord needed a lot of work to pass the annual state inspection and it made no sense dumping money into it. I have never regretted my decision and the car has been pretty good to me overall, but...if you don't have to rush, my advice is don't!

Leasing allows you to get a nicer vehicle than what you can actually afford to buy. Leasing is not a very good option for most people unless it is a tax write-off through a business. After 3 years of payments you own NOTHING.
If you just graduated college and are on a tight budget, then you should most probably buy something that is more affordable and keep it longer than 3 years - or at least have something of value at the end of 3 years that you could sell or trade-in when you are in a better position financially.
Having said that, I recently bought a 2012 Acura TSX knowing that the ILX was coming out this spring. For me, the ILX was just a bit too small and the TL was just a bit too big. The 2012 TSX with 6 speed manual is exactly what "I" was looking for.
Emphasis on what "I" was looking for since each of us have our own list of wants and needs and priorities. Most guys seem to prefer the higher power V6 however for me the feel and control of a slick manual stickshift was a higher priority.
I know none of this addresses your two questions .. but since you just graduated college and you are starting out in life, then you might be well advised not to push the upper limits of your budget.
