is this a good deal on a new base tsx wagon?
GM does business with my best friend he offered 33200otd base non tech. Tsx wagon. I think he isn't really giving me a great deal considering I've seen people get the sedan but with the tech package for that price or less. This was going to. Be for the wife as we start a family.
Thought? Not sure didn't really counter as my wife has yet to sit or test drive it. It was considerable slower than my Gen 1 6mt sedan but this isn't for me. Wagon had Adequate pickup but 30k adequate hmmm.

Short answer...no. You need to tell us your pre-tax price as every area is different in that regard. Look at my thread https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tsx-2009-2014-143/12-tsx-wagon-prices-839882/ to see what I've been quoted for a 2012 non-tech, pre tax.

Unless I'm missing something, that's about $1100 below invoice in Tampa for a 2012 base TSX wagon. I'd say that's a very good deal, as most dealers don't seem to be budging much off invoice, at least in the northeast. Don't know if it's different in Florida.

I'm sorry but while I understand the "am I getting screwed?" concern, at what point do you put on your big boy pants and come up with a figure that you are willing to pay that is an equitable deal for you and a dealer? Last time I checked several years ago, holdback was about 3% of invoice price putting the bare minimum cost to the dealer at $29,043. The salesman will earn a "mini" commission and prep costs by the service dept, so the dealer is PAYING YOU to buy the car from them. Greedy bastards. Talk about a stealership. Yes, just take the deal.
A 2011 black TSX wagon base recently sold at auction in Orlando with 9500 miles for $27,500 + buyers fees of probably $500. AHFC is currently closing their offerings to franchise dealers only, so this will probably soon be a certified car somewhere ($350? inspection, $350? certified warranty cost). I'll stop there, because you can see where this is heading. You don't even have to know that information. Just look at asking prices of 2011 models on auto trader.
/rant (& maybe something actually useful)

achebee, after talking to several more dealers this weekend it seems that the $29302 is a pretty good deal. I was offered $29,206 + $885 destination so $30,091 plus TTL. This is the price from a fairly large market (Chicago area) with multiple dealers competing so I think this is a good number. I am going to try to get them to throw in a couple accessories like the cargo liner, but otherwise, I feel great about that number.

For that wagon, I'd still say $29517 is a good deal. Anything under $30K including destination seems like a great deal to me on a non-tech wagon. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't even want to throw in accessories at that price. We all want to get the best deal, but I'd be surprised if dealers would be willing to eat into their callback. They need to pay their employees and keep the lights on, after all.
