Hey everybody I'm trying to get Acura USA & American Honda to recognize that there is a market in the US for all those cool parts being sold in Japan & Europe for the Accord. So, I sent the fax message below to American Honda / Acura this morning and was thinking that if more people do the same it might get their attention. Now I'll get off my soap box... thanks!

Message: Make Acura TSX a true luxury car, NOT just “Near Luxury”

Hello, I am writing today to request that the marketing department at Acura USA / American Honda take a serious look at bringing the World Accord / Acura TSX accessories available for purchase in Japan and Europe to the USA. There are a large number of TSX owners frustrated by having to order parts from Honda Japan or Europe. I understand that some parts may require DOT approval but most of the parts are interior or exterior cosmetic; I can tell you that many of these parts would sell like crazy in the US (see some specific example P/Ns below).

08F01-TL0-630A Front under spoiler (color specific P/N)
08E18-TL0-620A blue ambient light
08W60-TL1-600B Sport Suspension
08Z03-TL0-600E Speaker Rings

Part numbers not listed above include electronic technology options like key-less entry, parking assist, collision avoidance, power retractable mirrors that are already available in Japan & parts of the EU.

One can get a sense of the market demand for these parts quite easily by checking out what TSX owners are saying on https://acurazine.com/ .

I would be thrilled to have someone from your marketing department call me back to discuss this in more detail.

Lol, the TSX isn't a luxury car, is it? It's definately a nice car.

Also, common sense would tell you this forum represents less than .1 percent of TSX owners. There is no demand for the crap you listed. Sorry, but thats the truth.

I agree it's not luxury, but Acura is trying to sell it against Audi, BMW etc so they best step it up a bit! As far as demand for the parts; we see it here on the forum. If you like what they are offering good for you, I love my car but want more choices, maybe not speaker rings for me! I say bring all of it to the US.

I agree I like more choices for my car also. It's too much work trying to import all the cool stuff from Europe.

Why are you still here? Your last thread said you bought a Jeep Liberty Since you don't even own a TSX, you are in no position to criticize.

I have been tyring to do this or years. I Have worked for Dealer since I was 18. I have always heard "American Honda Parts division has nothing to do with Japanesse parts. We can always hope.

Maybe there is a crack in the door; I missed a call from Acura USA regarding my fax. I plan to call later today, the more calls they get the better! The number is 1-800-382-2238 X115239, tell them you want the accessories available in Japan & Europe offered in the US. If there is a specific P/N you're interested I suggest you have it on hand for the call.

off topic: I have tickets for the Sharks vs Devils in March, the Devils are year in & out one of the best teams in the NHL!!
