Fish bowl vs. 30% tints or darker look
getting tickets for tints lol vs showing that yes is a chick driving
I still get amazed by most men having that surprise look by seeing a woman driving a 6 speed, i mean i get it, in my town I am one of 5 chicks.

Lived without tint and have no plans getting it. I live on the coast of NC with ebony interior. It is nice to see the reaction of others when they see my car is MT that is in great shape with a lot of miles.

I could not live without tints. I have tinted every ride since 1987. Here in Colorado I have never been pulled over for tints but have for speeding. I have never had an officer say anything about them. I always do 15-20% so they can see you some. I used to live in queens and the popo are def more sensitive around the city. Bigger quotas to pay for the bigger salaries.
Oh FYI out here in Colorado I know more females that drive some kind of manual trans than men.

I have 30% or 35% I forgot what it came in and I find it perfect. It's not to dark at night and it really cuts down on the light in the day. Your not invisible to others but you do feel out of the fish bowl/display case.

I am still trying to get used to living here without my husband. It only has been a little over 5 months. I love living near the ocean. I met my husband at the jersey shore. I take it 1 day at a time. I have joined a fitness center with a friend. I was on the beach 2 days ago when the temps were almost 80. Walked in the ocean. Yesterday the temps were in the 50's and today the same. I go for 2+mile walks around the neighborhood with friends.

follow the laws TINT laws in NY. or pay to play. your choice. you can read about people ranting from NY/NJ getting tint tix in the regions section. it all depends on how strict th police are in your area about tint tix. i've heard they can be pretty strict in NY and NJ.
i know in VA they can be strict as well depending on the area you live in. the state troopers are even worse.
get tint if you want tint, as far as % that's up to you and the local laws. 35% is nice and classy, not super dark but not super light. it's just light enough to see shadows, but dark enough to shade off details. go too dark seeing out at night can be a pain (parking on a dark street).
it seems the younger folks like 20% while the mature folks go for 35%. just a general trend i've observed.

take it one day at a time, I know how you feel i just lost my grandfather 3 months ago I was very close to him and there's not a day i dont miss him. Long walks specially by the beach and feeling that fresh air is good for you... enjoy those walks. Looking to visit NC this summer.

Most of the girls in my circle of friends drive manual, including my gf. Its really nice because often times it is the girls who are sober and they can drive our cars home. That being said, I think you should still tint your window. As much as you love people knowing its a chick, tinted windows is a must on a dark car!!

what part of ny are you in? i know in the bronx and that area, they rip you a new one for tints and any mods. they may shit bricks when they see that your a chick, but they might still do it
i've never been stopped in any part of NY for my tint which is 35% in the front and 20% on the 2 back windows and rear windshield. i have gotten a tint ticket in jersey, but the cop initially pulled me over for 65 in a 35 so i wasnt too upset =)

yea... you hit the nail on the head with most girls around here... worse even that most of my friends barely drive because when ya live in the city, mta is just so much easier, and cab it if ya gotta. i love driving too much, i drive harder than a nyc cab lmfao

I'm from Long Island I have so much space to open her up lol when I had my civic I used to get pulled over I had 20%back and 30% front tints. Sometimes i got pulled over for speeding but i think the cop felt bad for me lol he ended up goving me a tocket for my tints. I never drive to the city the streets suck not trying to bend my rims lol. The tsx is my daily driver so I'm not sure if I'm going to go to crazy on mods, I have an evo9 coming my way so I might go turbo crazy with that one instead.

I'm always amazed how people find these photo shoot friendly warehouse districts. I would get shot or attacked by a pack of pits.

Mine would only attack with kisses. I hope you don't feel that way about all pits

On the ladies using a clutch, umm.... it's not like they have green hair and 3 eyes or something. What's the big deal? My 18 y/o crush taught me when I was 16. Gees, give the girls some credit!

I have to agree, plus I want to add something that may sound a little over the top, but.... I sleep with an attorney and for at least those that don't, you'd never believe some of the stories I hear. I'll make it short and sweet: if your tint is illegal and you get into an accident, be prepared for a possible lawsuit (I know, you can't make this stuff up....). And it's almost guaranteed if there's personal injury involved. Not saying it will happen, but.... well, you better not hit me; they don't call them sharks for nothing. And don't let short and cute fool you....

I love mine so much. He's the one thing that has kept me away from modding my car. He takes all my money. Lol.

I wasn't implying anything in particular about pit bulls. Substitute pits for guard dogs if it makes you feel better.

I dunno, I like the "fish bowl" just because I like being able to see everything around me as they are. I've never been a big fan of tint.

I've started doing tints since the State of Illinois allowed us to several years ago. I've done the legal limit of 35% all around on my cars and 50% up front on SUV since the back windows were smoked from the factory.
