Question Exterior B pillar trim - question

Hi all. I have a 2011 TSX in Crystal Black. The exterior flat-black trim between the two side doors is not "perfect" in it's blackness compared to the paint on the car. I know on other colors the black trim will always appear black based on contrast, but on my car you can see lighter areas on the trim.

Safe to use something like "Back To Black" on that flat paint area? I'd used that product on flat black Saab spoilers with good results.

Thanks.

I covered mine with paint protection film and it made them shiney to better match the tint.
