I agree with sr4dt, you have to appaud ACURA for sticking to an unpopular design and thinking outside the box...hopefully it will pay off in the long run. The fact that it grew on me doesn't mean it will on others. Now despite what some people have said, I seem to LOVE the new rear design of the car. I have always hated following another TSX and seeing how narrow and tall this car looked....It now has a bit more balanced proportion from the back (width to height)...My two cents ..... (BTW... you need 2 million 2 cents to buy a $40 000 TSX......

It's not exactly "out-of-the-box". Saturn has a very similar "element" to its grilles on its newer, Euro-based cars. That said, I like the IDEA, but it hasn't been properly executed.

I've seen this "big silver bar" on Mazdas, Hondas, and Saturns, it's not exactly unique or original. It's just ... bigger. Bolder. More of a cowcatcher.

Perhaps this is the TSX that finally wins over more than 52% of female buyers. I mean, how many cars allow you to check your makeup as you walk up to it, before driving to work in the morning.

You have to concede one thing though, the "element" has been a lightning rod, and is unmistakable. I'm sure that's the idea. Instantly recognizable from way behind in your rearview or side mirrors.

Not necessarily. The Saturn Aura is also "blessed" with a similar element.

It does seem kinda like a piece of jewelry. Shiny and up front. I'm not into shiny jewelry, some may love it. Silver fake chrome accents are on lots of cars, front and back now. I guess it's cheap bling.
