Door lights

good day the courtesy lights of the front doors, ie pilot and co-pilot do not work, initially they had factory lights, changed them to LED and ran for a while, the pilot light was the one that failed first, when failure changed the LED and even so it does not work, check all the fuses and all are well, check voltage and between positive and negative focus socket, I have no voltage (12VDC), a rare detail is that the focus of the passenger door stays on but as only 15-20% of its capacity and I press the switch and it does not turn off it stays on even when the vehicle is working, I think I have two or three options to check: 1.- check the switches on the door frame 2.- the socket wiring 3.-The harness together with the module that controls the lights. If someone had this problem or something similar, I would appreciate your help. Thank you.

Try putting a working incandescent bulb in there to see if it's working. ALthough if you checked the voltage between, that means a fuse may have blown. Confirm the fuses with multimeter (continuity) and replace as necessary. If ALL fuses test good, then there's an issue with the wiring in the door.

thanks, check the fuses with multimeter and they are fine, all the fuses according to diagram, I will try your method, I will change the bulbs to incandescent to test, I have something strange the focus of the copilot stays on very dimly, maybe the contact that is normally open is already damaged and is stuck, this contact is the switch of the door, I will replace them in any way and as last option check the wiring of the harness and the focus socket, thank you.

friend, do you think that the MICU module could be damaged? for me it would be the last thing to check! regards

That would be the next step but that's sort of a big deal. Hopefully isn't the case. What LED bulbs did you use by chance? They could have been faulty. I've heard instances of people having melted wires in the door because of crappy bulbs.

I agree with you, use autozone led lights, I send the image, if it were a problem the MICU would have a good number of faults and witnesses lit on the board and it is not the case, only the bulbs do not turn on and the car works wonder, the cable in mention that could be the one of the problem goes by harnesses or only goes rutted by the door? Thank you

Demons, very well, we will do what you tell me, I will change the lights for the originals and remove the panel, I will also prepare myself with a pair of harnesses

32757-TL0-G10 and 32755-TL0-G00

Thank you

Potential of a bad ground at the door switch, but not high on my list of causes.

Bad resistor pack on the LED, the incandescent should tell you that.

An idiot light, made of an 12V incandescent bulb, and a wire each for hot and ground is a great tool. Tells you you have voltage, as well as the ability to supply current. LEDs can turn on with low current, many Incandescents won't or will be dimmer than full 12V. Current leak through transistors and such will turn on an LED, where an incandescent won't let it switch.

thank you very much, the door switches have just arrived and I will install them as soon as possible, I put the incandescent bulbs back and did not turn them on, in the initial tests I made a test with the bulb / focus, connect cables to each end of the bulb and probe them directly to physical earth and the voltage and they turned on, but nevertheless placed them in the socket and they did not work, according to the diagram the next step is the one you mention, change the switches on the door and if not, maybe look in the MICUS of the passenger and the driver.

Thank you.
