I just bought cheap car black box just in case something happens.

The camera I bought from amazon was no good so I might just buy portable ones that cost about 100 dollars.

is there any of you whom installed such cameras or should i just buy something like gopro and use that?

I had a blackvue dr400, it had way too many glitches. Been holding out for quite some time but I am really interested in a dr550 with the front and rear cam.

how was the installation? and how often do you guys check with the bbox? sd card usage?

installation is really simple...I use a 30gb micro sd to record.

I have a DVR-207. Cheap, easy, works great. I bought a low-profile adhesive mount to tuck it right up at the top of the windshield. Mush less noticeable from outside the car, compared to the suction mount.

I had dvr207 knockoff from amazon but it didn't seem to be working all that well...

did mounting top of the windshield blocked your views? planning to get tiny black box just because i wanted to mount it or clip them somewhere near the mirror.

Is there a source for a video unit that fits behind the grille? I think the 1st Gen TSXs (Accords) sold in Japan had an in-grille unit as an option.
