Custom Hood
So, my three-year-old took the liberty of customizing my hood by drawing on it with a rock! The result is not too bad...about an 8 inch scratch, not deep enough that I can really feel it with my fingers, but definitely there. Someone told me about some product that looks like a black marker that will make the scratch disappear. Does anyone have any solutions for this? My car is black.

You can try some abrasive compounds/polishes but it sounds like your scratch is past that. Most compounds fix the fine scratches caused by time and road debris that are not metal deep.
How deep did your 3 year old get? How did he even get to the top of the hood?

the product you've heard about is probably the Simoniz Fix It products.
but I suggest buying Quixx instead, it's far superior.
and it's been tested and approved world wide by the pros.

QUIXX is your solution. I have used it numerous times on my TSX and it has removed some pretty big surface scratches. Last year it was really windy outside and I had a big palm tree branch land on my hood leaving an 8-10" scratch that I thought would never get removed, but this stuff totally buffed it out. As long as the scratches are not too deep and you can feel a ridge then it will remove it. Got it from WalMart for $14. So far I've gone round the whole car and I still have half a tube. Its really easy to use and does an amazing job. By the way I do not work for Quixx and neither does any friend or family member!!! Give it a try. For $14 its worth a try. http://www.quixxusa.com/
