Can't decide for TSX: Black SE vs Silver Tech

I found a dealer offer me NEW 2012 Black TSX SE with Wing spoiler for $28,300+ttl. And another dealer offer me CPO 2012 Silvermoon TSX Tech for $26,900+ttl. Which one do you think is better choice? I can't decide...

it all depends.
do you REALLY need the nav?
thats basically what the tech pkg breaks down to.
that and a HD.

i had the same predicament and i went with the SE.
the aero kit and the seats alone are worth it. not to mention the other subtle changes like the headliner, red cluster, red stitching..etc

also, if you want a manual, the SE is the only way you can get it.

i went SE and still would go SE if i had to make that choice again.
i<3 my suede seats

Seems like I will go for SE (but its automatic btw), love the red accent and black headliner... one question, is the lux suede durable? easy to clean compared to leather?

ive only had mine a few months but so far so good.
i put a coat of scotch guard on it when i first got it.
the carpets got a treatment too.
i just vacuum every month or so and it looks brand new.

the only real pain in the ass is if you have dogs, the dog hair LOVES to stick to that stuff.

believe it or not, the Schiticky works amazingly well for getting dog hair off car seats. lol

Unless you are getting a manual, the SE is more appearance than anything else. If you would rather have the gadgets as opposed to the slightly different interior look of the SE, then the decision is easy.

I will say, having the nav screen in the dash does dramatically improve the overall feel of the cabin as the rather low-res screen in the non-tech models looks rather low rent.

at the end of the day, its a brand spankin new car vs a used one for around the same price.
id get the new one.

my phone does a great job of giving me directions the few times a year i actually need it.
i get the enjoy the lux suede seats year round. nice and warm in the winter and not burning hot in the summer. plus, the SE lip kit > any other kit out there for a 12 and as far as i know, you cant buy that kit aftermarket.

Go to the dealer and go sit in the car for about 20 minutes, the tech package also has a better sound system, and see if you really want that Special edition becuase if it was me I'd go with the special edition and just get a new navigation 2 DIN.

I think SE good choice for me. The tech is not groundbreaking compared to the tech nowadays (beside the els i think). My other concern is the car comes with wing spoiler. Do you think it looks nice on black SE? I prefer lip deck spoiler initially

my SE didnt come with a spoiler.. hrmmm

i think it looks great tbh.
its a bit agressive looking with stock wheels so if you plan on upgrading the wheels, i think itll look great.

if you were near me, id gladly trade you trunks since the holes wont line up if you put a deck lid on.

i have vinyl wrapped deck lid ive been contemplating for a while. lol

for a 2012 this late in the year, thats a avg price imo
ill bet you can get work a better deal.

i paid roughly that with credit on my trade in back in july.

right around 28k out the door with trunk mat and wheel locks.
i should have had them throw in a set of all season mats but i didnt even think about it.

be sure to go back to the dealer with pieces of paper with "DO NOT DETAIL" on it and put it all over the car.

they will completely fuck your finish up if they do.
on black, it will be REALLY noticeable in a few weeks when you wash it.
the filler wax they will wash off and your car will be full of swirls.

I had a similar choice of a used Tech vs a new SE. I chose the SE, ultimatley for the manual. I liked the SE interior more.

Wow, really good deal, I should ask for that extra mat. Thanks for the tip, I will sure tell them not to detail at all. Hopefully I can get it asap

GO with the TECH Package!

That's a good deal for the 2012 TECH TSX. I got mine 30.6K bellanova white pearl and I love it. I rather have all leather seats b/c I have a 2 yr old boy and clean up is easy. SE seats will leave a stain if something spill on it. I bought an Aero kit from CurryAcura for the add on also if you like the body kit.
