Cannot access menu after battery change
Hi,
I have a 2012 Acura TSX. After a battery change, the clock and radio are no longer working. I tried to access the menu, but nothing shows up on the screen. Any suggestions? Thanks, Jimmy |
Disconnect the newly installed battery, then connect the car's Positive and Negative cables together for about 1 minute. Then re-connect the car's Positive wire to the battery and tighten the connection properly. Last, connect the Negative wire to the battery.
When connecting the negative cable to the battery, ensure it is being connected firmly - just a single movement without hesitation etc. See if this helps. Then you'll need the code for the radio. If you don't have it, look in the fuse box for a sticker. |
I know this is an old thread but did you solve this? Did removing the car’s battery connections and touching them to each other (like suggested) work? I have this issue now after battery replacement.

Tech or Base? I'm not sure it's relevant since my '09 Tech used the disc navi setup but I will mention it anyway: after the DVD player went bad and the navi crapped out I lost access to the clock and some other settings. Now it has a mind of its own and on some days the clock is two hours ahead, one day it is one, one day it is correct...
