Bought a black 2011 TSX w/Tech pkg.

Bought the car last week, and then it snows here in Delaware. Oh well. Gorgeous car though. Not familiar with 1st Gen or 2nd Gen prior to 2011, but very nice so far. Haven't driven long enough to get any idea of mileage. Nav etc. very nice and super sharp/bright etc. One site mentioned 400% improvement over prev Nav in clarity etc.?? no idea.
Will report back in future as i become more used to all the gadgets, buttons, yada yada . And of course mileage figures but they'll be lower anyway with the cold weather and lousy conditions outside.
In comparing with 2010 on floor visibly more appealing. Wheels alot nicer and front end improved alot. Back to work now but will keep in touch.

Will try and post some soon. Been hectic over holidays and driving my 06 Rav4 for the most part....... Dark blue but now white with salt. Got the Taupe interior (lighter grayish color - looks sharp with black exterior. As we were picking it up, salesman showing some of what it has on it etc. a Black 2011 Wagon was pulled up outside showroom. Night so hard to see much . Sorta reminds me of a Subaru wagon from a few years back. Folks may like it though.

Congrats. I went on with the 2010 black with Taupe interior with tech package. I got mine last week also. Will post pics as soon as the fifteen day trial is over. I don't think that us newbies can post pictures until then.

I replaced the factory wheels with 20 inch rims so the stock wheels weren't going to be kept by me either way. I also upgraded my dome and interior lights to the bright leds as well as my license plate, DRL's and reverse lights. Enjoy your new car sir.

The 11' navi has 400 time the resolution of the previous navi's offered in tsx's. Think of it as the difference between VHS & DVD or DVD vs. BluRay. Its also HD based and you can ripe your normal non-mp3 cds to the radios 10GB hard drive. That is a lot of music. This allows you to keep your CD's home after you rip them. Thje same reason why I make all WMA CD's for the car in my 3rd gen. Enjoy your new investment. Stay clear of ricing it it out or worse...lol.

I personally feel the Hard drive on the any vehicle is useless. I mean rip CDS or music on to your car? Why bother. The car already offers me an AuX and USB connectivity, so why do I need a hard drive for music too? Nowadays everyone has at least a MP3 player ranging from iPods to Zunes, and if not, they will have a phone or smart phone that can possibly carry music. These smartphones or MP3 playing phones and MP3 players are always on you throughout the day, so having a hard drive to rip music seems pointless. If I have a device that plays music for me on me everyday and the car offers a AuX and USB cable slot, why do I need to rip music? Seems useless.

Does the driver position memory now also control the exterior side mirrors? I read somewhere it does for the 2011.

TSX vs. Buick Regal

No, never considered the Buick. Actually haven't had alot of time to play with my purchase yet. Also, until things melt etc. pictures probably a week away. Not to sound stupid, i'm 62, so asking since some of this new to me. Is there a way to download songs from my I-Pod to a flash drive and use it in the TSX vs I-Pod? I'd think somehow Apple has that protected. But heard there is a way. Also, again not to sound stupid, but with the hard drive downloading music. 3500 songs more than on the ipod now. Do i have to load 1 cd at a time or???? I'll report more as i have more time with the 11 tsx. also pics once i can wash her up etc.

Actually just under $33,000. Had leather steering wheel, shift knob, body side molding, mud flaps, all season mats. So some monies off considering they still have alot of 2010's on the lot. Guess with first Acura bit the bullet for a 11 vs. 10 based on info on changes/upgrades. Is quiet so not sure how it compares to 10. Again, too early to comment too much since weather has kept driving to minimum although quickly melting away rest of the week here in Delaware. (alot less than NJ and NYC etc.).

I just might be the second 2011 TSX owner. Went in for service on my tsx and spotted the black on black 6 speed with tech. Took it for a nice drive. Im liking it quite a bit. I didn't like the looks at first glance though but it is a lot better in black than white.

Ahhh just waiting on the email now. Hmmm. Adter owning a 2010 since January, should I sign? I do have a base auto. Yeah. I think I hould. Wow. I just talked myself into buying a car while typing. ;-)

raviola4,

You can plug in the ipod directly to the tsx. Use the white USB cord that was included with the ipod and plug it into the tsx through the USB plug inside the arm rest.

You don't need to spend more money on a flash drive. The ipod is the same thing.

There are also instructions in vehicle manual or that easy quick start booklet they gave you.

There is already a sub in the back, unless you want to put a bigger one in the trunk. You can adjust the stock sub under the audio settings.

Yea i wasn't looking at Buick either.

And look like all the other TSX's out there. Nah. I'm sure if he liked that look better he could have purchased a new 2010.

Nice.

I actually like the 011 grille better than the 09~10 grille.

In my opinion, the new grille and the new updated Navigation system is good. The ones I don't really care about are the rear vents and the whole hard drive storage music feature.

However, I do like the 09~010 taillights better.
