Body side mouldings
Has anybody put the body side mouldings on there TSX? I like the look of the TSX without the moulding, but I hate door dings more. If anybody has some, could you post a pic.

Mine are coming in tomorrow.
The online instructions don't show exactly how close to the edge of the door they should be mounted.
Do you have any suggestions for the fore and aft positioning?

If you're looking to save yourself from door dings, these aren't the units to do that. They are so low on the doors they're barely above the top of the rocker panel & won't do *anything* to protect from dings.

The best door ding protection I have come up with is to not park near other cars, or always select corner spots. It's worked like a charm thus far. As HeavyDuty has correctly stated, they are placed too low to be effective on the TSX. A nice, high SUV will ding you right over those moldings. The best bet is to avoid making it physically possible for your car door to get hit.

Thanks guys. Yeah I won't be getting those mouldings. There do look good, but real useless for the purpose. I know the best door ding protection is to not park beside another car. But I live in Canada and when it is -30C outside parking close to the store ,restaurant or whatever is mighty temping.
