Bike Transport/Hitch recommendations

I am looking to haul a couple bikes on my new TSX, but I don't really want to get a trunk rack. I thought about maybe installing a hitch and getting a hitch bike rack, but I wanted to see if anybody else has tried something like this on their TSX and if they would recommend the brand they used. Most of the hitches that I have looked at (Hidden Hitch, etc) don't require drilling, but they do say that you might have to file out the holes in the frame a bit (which is something I really, really don't want to do). Any suggestions?

Just this weekend, I saw an 08' with a hitch-rack like you describe.

I've put 2 hitches on passenger vehicles and never had to file anything. I think if you stick with a name brand manufacturer, you should be fine.

I can understand not wanting to get a trunk rack, because most of them suck. But I must really recommend the Saris Bones to you. It's a cut above, and a hell of a lot easier to deal with than what you're going to have to do to get the TSX rigged for a hitch.

There is no good choice for racks. It depends how you use them, how concerned you are about scratches on the bikes, how many you want to carry, do you want to carry skiis too and how much hassel you want.

My advise for 2 bikes (road or mtn) - do not need to carry skiis - don't want scratches /damage - want to remove the rack when not in use is a hitch mount Thule T2. It is a heavy rack so it takes some effort to remove and store and cost some $ but it will get the job done and done well.

Any other hitch rack is fine if you don't mind the bikes taking some possible minor damage.

I have to agree with Craig-D. I have the Saris Bones RS on my 2006 TSX and it works perfectly. 10 seconds on and 10 seconds off and no scratches to the car...
