auto headlights (problem or not)

I have the 09 TSX with tech package and it comes with AUTO mode for the lights.

I noticed that sometimes when I lock & unlock the car, the light stay on for a pre-set amount of time, while at other times they don't.

1. should the lights stay on for the pre-set amount of time when you unlock the car?
2. should the lights stay on for the pre-set amount of time when you lock the car?

Thanks guys

I know that auto-mode is supposed to do that, but i think its not consistent. it does it sometimes and not others i think.

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the time of day or the light sensor.

There's settings on the MID that allow you to set the sensitivity of the auto-on, and also the length of time they stay on arming or disarming (I think).
