Any financing specials coming soon?
I've been having a hard time trying to locate an 06 TSX in the color combination that I want. So I'm thinking of possibly buying a new one if I can get low APR financing. I just checked for the new specials as the old lease expired on Monday and they only have a special leasing option. My question is does anyone know if Acura will introduce a financing special prior to the dates that the lease special expires on?

I wouldn't count on it.
they stopped production of all 09 TSX's a while back.
so no dealer anywhere will ever get any more of them most likely.
I think they're waiting for the 2010 to produce more cars.
they could have started production up again, but I don't think so.
haven't heard anything about it.
so there is not even close to an over-surplus or anything, and the TSX
is selling very well on it's own right now without any give-aways....
so I wouldn't hold your breath. Colin or your local Acura dealer should know though.
just call up your local dealer and ask them what's up.

If they stopped producing the 09's when are the 10's going to come out, in May-June? Also what does anyone know what they are selling the TSX at? At invoice or below invoice?

Pricing varies by region, at this point, I don't see any reason to sell below invoice now, when I can always sell below invoice if I have any left when the 2010s arrive. Other dealers may have more inventory (we have only 5 base ATs).

TL owner here, but very impressed with the new TSX. I was offered $750 below invoice two weeks ago. I'm patiently waiting for some financing deals to show up.
Plus I am not in any hurry to purchase a new car, given the economic circumstances.

Also remember that recently they have made dealer cash back and financing specials 'either/or' and not both.

Something just doesn't sound correct here. If there is such a surplus of inventory for between 3-5 months how can the TSX's be selling so well? I may be missing something here but it would indicate that they are really not selling well.

It's all how you look at the numbers. YTD TSX sales for the past 4 years till February:
2006: 5,898 2007: 5397 2008: 4,368 2009: 4,699
So while the YTD sales for 2009 was better than 2008, it's still almost 1,200 less than what they sold in 2006.

I cannot say if there is a surplus of inventory now, but in January when they closed the line, there may have been. What color/trim/transmission are you looking for and what state are you in?

I would be getting a auto non-navi in Polished Metal Metallic with a gray interior.

I live just outside of Philly.
BTW does anyone have a pic of what the molding issue looks like (I went through 6 pages of searches but couldn't find one)? I may not want to get this car if they haven't fixed the issue yet. Spending $30k on a car and having stuff like this happen is ridiculous.

they never fixed the engine issue either.
a bunch of people were jumping down my throat and telling me that by mid
february that all accords and tsx's would have a software fix for the engine
pinging issue, but it turns out I was right and there is no such thing.
so that needs to be considered as well.
as for molding:

I have no issues with either the molding or pinging. Only one oil change and tire rotation in 8 months /20,000 km of ownership. Going in for B1 service next week.

We are down to 1 Auto and 1 Manual Base TSX.
