Yep. Got a call from the dealer a couple weeks ago and got the passenger side shrapnel cannon replaced on the 5th.

2014 TSX Sportwagon; NSTSA reports passenger airbag recall, but not the driver and I haven't heard anything from the dealer.
|
Had mine done at dealer had TLX a spec loaner with 7 miles. Put 650 hard full on redline miles burning rubber on it. :D |
Had mine done at the dealer today. No notification letter though. I asked the service rep about the driver side airbag and checking his computer, he said there's no recall for that. I don't know if that means there's no shrapnel cannon on the driver airbag or if a recall will be scheduled in the future.

Dang, you must be VIP. No loaner for me. our dealer gives mdx/tlx loaners to everybody .... :) best St is early morning Saturday $40 oil change drop off, take their mdx for weekend trip to ski and return on Monday and pick up your car :) |
so what does it entail? are they taking the dash apart?
|
Thanks for this post! I checked in with my local dealer, they ran my VIN and told me I need to get mine fixed. I have an appointment tomorrow. Good looking out with the info! |

I got a loaded TLX A-Spec and while the tech was nice, I was happy when I got my wagon back though - it drives far smaller and has a noticeably smaller turning radius. The dealer called at 2pm yesterday and said it was done. they said the recall ended up taking about two hours. The glove box looks to have been rearranged and there are greasy fingerprints on the passenger side dash. |
I guess I'll be calling my dealer tomorrow in the AM.. I just hope the job doesn't introduce rattles or noises.

I am a very picky person, as you will see I had Warranty pay out almost $4,700 worth of work on my wagon on previous threads. My dealer knows and I am sure hates how OCD I am absolutely no rattles or noises post fix. Mine is as good as day it was purchased. Not a single fingerprint (visible) or marks left either |

I know most don't care :), but I finally got the letter from north of the border. Gonna try and schedule an appointment at my earliest convenience.

This is free, right? I can go to the dealership and have it replaced?
