Acura deletes TL and TSX from website
Well, Acura no longer has the TL or TSX on their website so they are now officially deleted from the Acura lineup. It is now just the ILX, TLX, RLX, RDX, and MDX. I don't know who in their right mind would buy an ILX over a TSX though. They are similarly priced but the TSX is just better in everything in my opinion. I rented a TSX for about a week and I never really had a strong opinion of the TSX before but after I rented it I LOVED it so ever since then the TSX has a special place in my heart. I really hope Acura improves the ILX with a better looking exterior and more powerful engine in the future. Oh well... I guess that's pretty much the final goodbye for them now...

Didn't really ponder what it meant that the TSX would be history when I was buying one. I think it really sucks now. Only good thing is there will be even less on the road overtime. Probably a bigger hit for TL owners IMO. It's been around longer than the TSX and TL always came to my head when I thought Acura.

VTEC just kicked in, yo!
Well at least TLX sounds like a successor of the TL (even though it's supposably the successor/merger of both), so in a way it doesn't really seem like the TL is dead. It definitely does suck that TSX is gone though. Although, I'm pretty happy I got one of the last TSXs ever made. Definitely love this car.

It really does resemble both cars because of its various I4/V6 trims. Based on reviews, the I4 is supposed to be very peppy and exciting to drive, whereas the V6 is supposed to be more calm, despite being quicker off the line. The V6 also has an option for SH-AWD, whereas the I4 doesn't. So in a way, the V6 models resemble more of the TL, and the I4 resembles more of the TSX. They don't offer a manual transmission though, even on the I4s . However, they have ditched the old 5AT (finally) and offer 8 or 9 speed auto transmissions.

TSX AMG Type //M i-VVT
I'd have thought the V6 would be much more fun to throw around corners especially with the AWD, and having more power.... maybe not. I'll have to drive them.

Just replaced my 15 year honda accord with used 2011 TSX. I didn't want to get another honda accord just because everyone and their mom around here(northern nj) seems to have the new one. Feels so nice not see a single one on my way to work and back. I just hope getting parts for it arent going to pain.

I always felt my tsx wagon was obsolete before i even went ahead and bought one.
Got it anyways.
Not sure what i'd replace it with.
Pretty damn good value/feature/driving dynamics proposition.

Go cry about it OP.
This story has been beat worse than Christy Mack.
Your thoughts on the ILX are your opinion and clearly Acura doesn't think too highly about it.

This genuinely made me laugh. The TSX market is so bloated you will never not see that car on the road. Main reason I didn't want the tsx or tl is because they are quite literally at every light in So Cals more populated counties. It has become a joke between my buddy and I to spot the TLs because they are so dam common.

With production of the TSX done, overtime you WILL see more ILX's on the road than the TSX. There's no way around that. So your reason for not wanting a TSX/TL for that purpose will only last so long.

We've got an ILX as a grocery car. My wife drives it. It is fine. It's well appointed for the price. If you're not looking to spend BMW dollars or want to drive a Civic/Kia/whatever this is a good reliable car. Ours sits 8 hours a day at the subway parking lot, depreciating. Used really for a couple minute daily drive. No problems. It does exactly what it's marketed to.
For all the fools on this forum who think Acura should be making crazy super awesome race inspired, high performance cars (in mass) -- you're delusional. Their motto is "smart luxury" -- so essentially they are RIGHT where they want to be. They are selling a premium product. Certainly not the cream of the crop, but a better than average product. They're like Tumi -- it's no Salvatore Ferragamo, but it's good quality, long lasting.
Acura's market lives below the BMW/AUDI/Lexus/MB target and above the Honda/Subara/Toyota etc. Why would they pander to a few people yearning for these cars by cannibalizing their other sales.
Get over yourselves. Seriously. If you want something these cars are not, buy the car you want....

I've driven an ILX and it wasn't as enjoyable as the TSX or TL. I currently drive a 2012 TSX w/Tech i4 but I've had the chance to drive a V6 TSX and a loaded 2013 TL w/ SH-AWD for days at a time as loaners for various reasons. All of the above models/trims blew the ILX out of the water which didn't feel like anything special. If you like it that's fine but while I see more TL/TSX in Chicagoland than ILX it's not uncommon for me to see numerous ILX each day. Truth is with how close in price the ILX and TSX were it would be ridiculous to choose the ILX over a TSX for most people.
Well then I guess it is pretty subjective what people see daily.
But ridiculous to choose the ILX over TSX? Really? Come on dude. If that were the case you wouldnt see any ILXs on the road where as you just stated you see numerous ILXs daily. Each one of those people opted for the ILX over the TSX.
Same engine if we're talking the 2.4
Same creature comforts
ILX is smaller and 2grand cheaper.
Some people want smaller even if it was 2grand more expensive.
For me, I thought the ILX looked way more up to date than the TSX I have seen for the last year or more. A new look with a tried and tested motor sounded like a great option.
Still is since no one around me has a modded ILX.
Different strokes for different folks.

Not butthurt. Just informing you this topic has been beat to death. Not saying you're wrong. Just saying Acura says you're wrong.

I've got a TSX. I'm okay with it being an everyday A-to-B car, but there are a few people on here who think the car is a "rare and precious gem" -- you'll never see a large group of people turn their heads when you drive by because of "Look at that rare TSX!"
