2G TSX Chat, Chit, and General Info Thread
Android > iPhone, it's why 60% of the market is an Android phone vs 17% is an iPhone. Apple needs to create an iPhone Lite to lower the price of entry into their product world, it'll corner the Android across all price segments. But I forgot, Apple is run by a bunch of zealous and cocky idiots. So of course they wouldn't do this and potentially denigrate their overcharging strategy.
remember those numbers are comparing an entire suite of phones using a similar operating system VS. one single phone.
Phone for phone the iphone is still dominant in the market, no?
havent look it up but i feel like thats true so thats good enough for me.
Samsung sells apple what, some chips and LCDs for phones an ipads? And apple rolls bank on the app store, itunes, its brand, accessories, people who go on to buy a mac, etc
"I cant tell you how many times ive seen someones PC die and then they go hmm, ill get a mac this time itll be like my ipod, it sounds easier"
So this weekend I just helped my brother get into a new G37x. I'm sorry to say this, but I have to: I think the only reason Acura/Honda is alive is because of complacent people. In this case, the Infiniti is better than the 4G TL in every conceivable way. More gears, more power, more features, tighter steering, better infotainment system, the list goes on (the els stereo is better tho).
speaking of VIP...i saw a lexus gs i think...2 actually on the belt parkway last night...the white one had the license plate "VIP LEX" had some sort of kit and dropped low. had purple headlights though so i was a little "ehhh" about it. both were dropped crazy low with body kits on them.
Sure beats calling you "bro" or "bra"...Cuz, well, one...you're not my brother...we're not related.
And two, I don't know why people would refer to each other as a woman's undergarment.
So, yes...bud is just fine.
BUD.

Killer G you even said it yourself the reason why apple will fail and is failing they have no diversity and only offer the same phone with little tweaks over the year it took them 3 remakes to get a flash on the camera thats not innovative. but i will say that they have the best marketing team in the world to keep selling idiots the same product every year

Well Apple does make good products for stupid people, you can literally pick up any of their devices and know how to work it relatively easily...and a lot of their stuff automatically configures itself (e.g. network adapters, printers, etc)
I didnt necessarily mean that apple users are idiots. Mainly just laughing that their new products are basically the same crap they've always been but with a slightly different face. Their "revolutionary" products are just a pretty face on technology that you can get from almost any other competing product in its class.
...the main reason I dont like them is that the first couple of years the iphone was out, everyone HAD to show you how much better their phone was because it had google maps and email. Even though there were tons of other blackberrys and such out that did the same things. Everyone was always so smug about it. Smug is the feeling that I get from most apple users.

Well, here's a question for you: Would YOU wait in line for a freaking cellphone? I know Apple iPhone people would.
Phones and computers, different story,
For the layperson (which i think is a better term, since i know many talented dr's, lawyer's, etc that use macs) as far as computers are concerned, an apple product is definitely a very easy product to learn. The UIs are intuitive, the OS is very stable, and aesthetically the machines are very pleasing and well built to boot.
Mind you, these people arent retards, but for many people apple computers have alot of appeal. Me personally, I would never, ever spend my money on a macbook, i love my PC and the power and versatility of windows. But of the people i know many did own pcs, become frustrated by their experience, and switch over. Ex-gf, older sisters, friends, etc. And to be honest I kinda prefer it when these people stop asking me for PC help. Not only that, when you have a problem, you can just take it to the apple store, which people really like, and generally the customer service is very good. Even microsoft finally caught on to the fact that people really appreciate this type of in person service, and now at very select locations you can go to a microsoft store and get serviced by a "Guru"
When I look around my lectures and I can usually count 40-70 or so macbooks and about 10~15 laptops out of a class of 180, depending on how crowded class is, and im sure many of you notice the same thing in your classes.

Although.. I find myself booting ubuntu more often than windows these days.
I have an iPhone 4, jail broke it the first week and haven't upgraded since. I like the platform and don't feel pushed to upgrade until I feel like oem programs have surpassed programs developed by the jailbreak community. Just my 2 cents
